While cleaning up the Castle of the Two Sisters, Spike discovers a chest containing twelve magical talismans that grant him special powers. Using these powers Spike shows the girls and anypony else he is no longer the little helpless dragon they make him out to be. Unfortunately the original owner of the talismans has no intention of letting another use them.

What is a mediocre villain to do these days? How in Equestria do you compete with the likes of Chaos gods and love-stealing shapeshifters? Ever since those Bearer brats found the Elements of Harmony and Princess Celestia's long-lost and kind-of-evil-but-not-really-in-the-end sister returned, nopony bats an eye at the small potatoes any more.

Small Potatoes himself just cannot take being relegated to the side lines any longer! He has one, glorious plan in the works, one that might finally see it - his name, that is - go down in history. He's going to do the one thing that villains all over Equestria have been failing to do since that fateful Summer Sun Celebration to stop the Guardians of Harmony once and for all.

He's going to hire somepony else to do the job for him.

After coming home, Doctor Whooves (or Time Turner) finds out that his youngest daughter has been acting a bit withdrawn and he decides to have a father-daughter chat whilst they look up at the starry night sky.

Amaryllis, an infiltrator for Chrysalis' hive, searches Canterlot for her missing queen, but during her nightly visit to the city she is forced to flee and heads into the Everfree Forest, where she finds an unusual cave, one that ends up changing her fate and knocks her out in process. When she wakes up she finds herself in an unknown world, in a snowy land that rests at the northern end of the continent, in a body that isn't what she's used to having. From there she must relearn the skills of an infiltrator, discover how the people of this new world interact with each other, and either figure out how to get back to her home world, or get used to living in her new environment and killing people to make some gold.

S.A.R.A.H. was created by humanity to liberate them from the A.S.I. overlord named X, but she was defeated and locked away for five thousand years. Slowly degrading for years without maintenance, but after an encounter with a sparkly transparent purple pony, she is transported to the land of Equestria.
