Princess Celestia was enraged when Princess Luna tried to keep Equestria at night for a day. This matter led to hatred between the two sisters, and they declared war against each other. Celestia took to tearing the Elements of Harmony apart. Twilight Sparkle, Apple Jack and Rarity were on her side. Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were on Luna's side.

Rainbow Dash's loyalty was pulled apart. She decided not to be loyal to anypony, anymore.

Her element was revived when she was sent on a mission from Luna. Luna wanted her to go to The Plains, a dangerous place, where a certain spell book was believed to be there. Rainbow Dash met an enemy of great power while on her journey.

Rainbow wanted to kill him at once, but when he stated the reason why he wanted to work with her in the meantime, and kill each other later, she agreed. After all, it was better to have a companion when you're in The Plains.

Rainbow Dash and her foe had to face several traps, sandstorms and manticores roaming freely in The Plains - not to mention their growing romantic tension...

After the Journey, Rainbow Dash and her companion sets out to stop the three-year war.

Soarin and Rainbow Dash have been dating for many months now. She is a professional flyer and one of the top rookies in the wonderbolts, while he helps train her to be the very best of them all. One day, after a long day of training, she does not show up at the lockers. He goes to find her and the two share a personal yet bonding moment between them.

Soarin feels as if nothing is going his way. Then, he meets Storm Whirl. A mare who curses him to live in a universe named Sciros where he doesn't exist with nothing but a magical rose. His wife doesn't recognize him at all and all of her friends are different.

There's only one way for Soarin to get home. If he could get Rainbow Dash to fall in love with him by the time the last petal fell, he would get to go back to Equestria. If not, he disappears.

This story is a sequel to Storm of Emotions

After the turbulent events of the Royal Garden opening, Rainbow Dash and Soarin's friendship went on surprisingly well. With everything that happened, they could learn more and realize how much they are important to each other. Soarin even offered Rainbow Dash an opportunity to have weekly practices with him at the Wonderbolt Academy, which she gladly accepted.

With only a few days until the start of their training, they have an unexpected (and quite painful to Soarin) reencounter, that ends up taking both of them to the Ponyville hospital, where they learn a little more about each other.

As their weekly practices begin, their connection only deepens, making them question their feelings and contemplate the thought that, just maybe, their friends were right all along.
