Have you ever wondered "Where did Spike come from? Where did Celestia get his egg?" Well, what if that question was a mystery no longer? When visiting Princess Cadence, Shining armor and their little baby, Flurry heart, Spike stumbles across a particular crystal statue in a closet in the Crystal castle. When he asks about it he discovers something that prompts him to run into the arctic north without telling Twilight.

There he meets a stranger, someone he never thought he would in the ruins of the Dragon's Quarry.

Twilight has been banished and hated but she didn't do what they say Celestia believes her but this was the best out come for her. Twilight spent days wondering trying to find a place to rest when she find other's like her. Now things are starting to look up but when Twilight discovers a darkness that plains to attack Equestria will she let the land that turned it's back on her burn or will she try to help.

Twilight Sparkle was a daughter to Nightlight and Twilight Velvet, a sister to Shining Armor, and a student to Princess Celestia. That was who she was, nothing more and nothing less.

However, on the longest day of the thousandth year, her world will change forever. A secret kept even from her will be revealed and her life will be forever changed.

Orphaned from birth, with only the memories of a soft touch and gentle voice to remember her by, Twilight yearns for her mother. What pony wouldn't want to know why they were abandoned, why they were left to be found by the Princess of the Sun herself.

That was nearly two decades ago though. Twilight was older now, and hopefully wiser. She is happy with her two best friends, Cadance and Shining Armor. They are like family to her, the brother and sister she never could have. Though dreams still haunt the young mare, dreams of lullabies and tender kisses, she has moved on.

The personal servant to the Princess of Helios, the land of the Sun, Twilight enjoyed both rank, and knowledge. But it also means that when Princess Luna comes to visit her old friend, Twilight is given the task of tending her. The Princess has come in search of marriage, at the behest of her ruling Council. They demand an heir to ward off the potentially catastrophic attacks of the neighboring dragons.

Soon, Twilight will be tested and tried. She will be given the a choice between the life she has known, and the duty she is sworn to. But never, not once, will she forget.

For who can stop loving their mother.

For almost a thousand years, the immortal Nightmare Moon has reigned over Equestria as Empress. To the average pony, Nightmare Moon is an overarching enigma whose rule is absolute and whose wrath is terrible. But to Twilight Sparkle, who as an orphan has never known her parents, the Empress is something else entirely. Princess Celestia was enraged when Princess Luna tried to keep Equestria at night for a day. This matter led to hatred between the two sisters, and they declared war against each other. Celestia took to tearing the Elements of Harmony apart. Twilight Sparkle, Apple Jack and Rarity were on her side. Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were on Luna's side.

Rainbow Dash's loyalty was pulled apart. She decided not to be loyal to anypony, anymore.

Her element was revived when she was sent on a mission from Luna. Luna wanted her to go to The Plains, a dangerous place, where a certain spell book was believed to be there. Rainbow Dash met an enemy of great power while on her journey.

Rainbow wanted to kill him at once, but when he stated the reason why he wanted to work with her in the meantime, and kill each other later, she agreed. After all, it was better to have a companion when you're in The Plains.

Rainbow Dash and her foe had to face several traps, sandstorms and manticores roaming freely in The Plains - not to mention their growing romantic tension...

After the Journey, Rainbow Dash and her companion sets out to stop the three-year war.

As Twilight and her friends faced off against Nightmare Moon inside the decrepit castle of the pony sisters deep within the Everfree Forest, The mare in the moon strikes first, defeating the element bearers. In an attempt to finish the job Nightmare freezes in action intent to discover the familiar energy hiding underneath the vale of her first victim. What lies underneath could change the lives of both Nightmare Moon and the pony forever.

Flash Sentry is called, and transfered to be the Princess of Friendship's guard. Aka, Twilight Sparkle. He wants to do everything in his power to protect the young princess, but in doing so, he slowly falls in love with Twilight. He's never felt like this for any pony else, and doesn't want to loose that feeling. But there is a few things standing in the way him with his love for her, and Twilight. First, his history, most ponies that know his background, hate him. Second, himself, Flash is too afraid of getting to close to her. Which could lead her danger. Third, a specific pony who says that he is in love with the young princess. (Twilight). And last, fear, Flash is too afraid that even if the truth does come out that she won't except him. He thinks it is too bizzard that a princess would fall in love with a stallion like him. But little does he know that Twilight is in love with him, but is too shy to admit it. So the battle of love is who will admit their feelings first, without getting hurt.

Twilight Sparkle, a new ruler in Equestria, has only been a princess for a few weeks. She just returned from an adventure in a new world that she never knew of, but she still doesn't feel ready for life as a leader. On the other hoof, Flash Sentry is just a new member of the Canterlot Royal Guard. As a member of the guard, his job is to protect the three princesses in Canterlot, as well as tour with them wherever they go. This turns into a romantic relationship, and they live happily ever after.

Actually, no they don't. That only happens in fairy tales.

Rated Teen for suggestive scenes and innuendo jokes, but if you know me you know that my stories are always the PG rated version, where the acts aren't described after kissing or touching. This story takes place after Equestria Girls but before Season 4, not including any new developments in the series or comics after the movie.
