Scootaloo is a young filly who's wings are still pre-flight, leaving her stuck safely on the ground. With some help she pushes herself to finally gain Rainbow Dash's attention. When things don't go as planned she may find another hero in her quest to belong. Will Rainbow Dash help the filly before its too late? With the assistance of some very interesting ponies the assortment of Equestria's most prized pegasi learn a few things about what friends are really there for.

After the mishap of the Grand Galloping Gala, Octavia Pie's Prestigious Classical Career came to a screeching halt as the disgruntled party planner fired her for her mistaken playful participation in the Pony Pokey. Feeling down and angry, Octavia can only look to the future and hope to salvage what's left of her reputation, and with a surprise opportunity, she plans on presenting Equestria with a masterpiece. The road to find inspiration is a long an arduous one, but one can only dream of the gifts and realizations that lie at the end.

Having been invited out to eat by Vinyl Scratch, Octavia reluctantly enters the Burrito Barn. Inside, she finds that she has managed to enter a land of confusion.

After Vinyl skips out on the debut of Octavia's newest composition—her latest act in a string of obtuse and aloof behavior—Octavia begins to wonder if Vinyl really appreciates their friendship. Sure, she's busy, but Vinyl's always made time for her before. Since when does Octavia come in second place?

And why did it have to be now of all times?

If you asked Big Macintosh what he liked about a pony there would be very little about Vinyl Scratch that would fit the bill. That's probably why he doesn't really like her. You might even say he detested her.

Then again, he hardly knows her.

Written for the Straight Shipping group 'A disagreement of sorts' competition. Yes, I couldn't think of a better name, sue me. Also written on a very random prompt from a friend who sarcastically said 'I ship it' when he saw a picture of Big Mac and Vinyl somewhere vaguely near each other.
