A crossover between Sid Meier's Civilization II: Test of Time's Scifi mode (it's a really awesome experience for those of you who haven't played it. Plus, Scifi mode is already a crossover between Civ and Master of Orion!) and The Conversion Bureau! Earth fell to ponification in 8080 A.D., only twenty years before the Lost Colony opened the gateway home. This was going to be a single fic, but due to a suggestion from Safhell, who preread the chapters I have at the time of posting this, it's being split into a saga! This first story is the introduction, and from there, the story will split into multiple paths following different characters and situations during the ensuing conflict until a conclusion fic is added to end the saga with the grand finale! (If you guys don't like the idea of it being a saga instead of a standalone, let me know, and if enough of you are against the saga idea, I'll just merge them all into this fic).

Please leave constructive criticism for anything I could do better, for I know this fic is far from perfect. Just remember that a lot of things use the mindset present in all Sid Meier's Civilization games, so logic is a bit skewed at times when compared to how things work in the real world (such as the colony ship being all citizens of the nation that launched it and not multinational. It's just how Sid designed the games).

On the celebration of his Hatching Day, Spike is depressed because he doesn't know where he came from. Princess Celestia gives him a map to the cave in which his egg had been found and he and his friends travel there. While they are gone the Princesses are attacked by the Changelings under command of their master. The mane 6 must then embark on a mission to save the Princess and stop the darkness before it can overtake all of Equestria but before they can do so they must come to know what it was that happened 1000 years ago that led to the birth of the Alicorns and the banishment of Tirak and his armies.

Meet Pocket Pair, a teenager high school student with an obsession over playing poker. One thing about him you may want to know about him, among the many other things there are to know, is the fact that he has Asperger’s syndrome, a form of autism. Among other things, this means that certain things, such as socialization, do not come nearly as easily to him as they do to most people, and as a result of this he has had great trouble making friends for a vast majority of his life, even up until his senior year of high school. Granted, he does have two people who call themselves his friends named Applejack and Ralph, and he sits with them every day at lunch. However, he does not believe they are really his friends since they very rarely talk to him outside of school and never actually invite him to do anything. Feeling bitter, upset, depressed, alone, and oh so desperate for change after a lifetime of not feeling he has friends, on the eve of his senior year, he makes a plan to make things better before he graduates. The plan is simple, get a girl, woo her, and then the love from the relationship should make things better… I mean after all, it works in all the Hollywood romances he watches after all…. Unfortunately, when he shares his plan with his table mates Ralph in particular takes offense to it, feeling it is just a pathetic attempt by him to get them to feel pity for him and give him attention, even though Applejack feels otherwise. Pocket Pair, fed up with Ralph’s failure to meet the standards he feels he should, tells him to put his money where his mouth and demands he make a bet with him on this or shut up for good about it, even offering to give him a choice to say who he needs to ask out with it. Unfortunately for him, this was a HORRIBLE mistake, because Ralph is so fed up with his “attention ploys” he’s going to make dead sure, he never makes another one And how will he do that? By making Pocket Pair ask out the girl who is BY FAR the meanest in the entire school … SUNSET SHIMMER!!!!

So here I'm stuck in Equestria, in the form of Mewtwo from Pokemon, FUN!
What's not so 'fun' is that my appearance is frightening to most ponies. It doesn't help that I can only communicate by projecting my thoughts into the minds of others. Now I need to find some way to convince the Princesses that I don't want to harm anypony, and that there's something bigger is happening.

This story is a sequel to Dexter's Lab: Equestria

He was so sure Nightmare Moon wasn't real. In fact, he was so sure Nightmare Moon didn't exist, he built a time machine to go back 1000 years and prove it.

This fic is a side-story to Dexter's Lab: Equestria. As requested by you readers, this story will be expand upon darker themes surrounding Luna's original descent into Nightmare Moon and the following events. - But expect a twist or two. This story was made separate to Dexter's Lab: Equestria because of it's darker themes and atmosphere. Reading of Dexter's Lab: Equestria (to chapter 11) is not required to enjoy this story, however it is strongly recommended as it will explain a lot (especially if you've never seen the Dexter's Lab TV show.)
