It's breakfast time for Twilight Sparkle, and she finds an unexpected guest at the table.

When they first met, Starlight Glimmer and Sunset Shimmer became fast friends. But ever since she returned home to Equestria, Starlight has been thinking about her more often, much to her own confusion.

With each season comes a new realization, and Starlight doesn't know what to make of it until the time comes.

As the last vestiges of winter give way to the warmth of spring, the cherry blossom trees at the Canterlot Royal Botanical Gardens begin to bloom. In celebration of this, a festival is held outside the Gardens, featuring food, games and capped off by a fireworks display.

This year, however, the cherry blossoms aren't the only things to blossom, as Sunset Shimmer will soon discover.

This story is a sequel to How to Hug a Five-Hundred-Foot Tall Dragon

It was supposed to be a routine flight over the desert, just a relaxing trip to stretch his wings out. He'd done it a thousand times before.

This time, it wasn't so routine.

Sex tag is for innuendo. No clop.

Part of the Hellpiercer 'verse, but knowledge of that story is not required. Reading the direct prequel How to Hug a Five-Hundred-Foot Tall Dragon is advisable, however.

Running, it's all Chrysalis has ever done since she was born. Running from her emotions, from her heritage, from Celestia, and now she's on the run again, but this time is different. Twilight Sparkle doesn't give up as easily as Celestia did...

Chrylight in future chapters.

Three years before the predicted return of Nightmare Moon. A young Princess Mi Amore Cadenza hears about the tale of the Changelings. She feels a kinship to this race that subsists on love, and convinces Celestia to allow her to go alone in a mission to try to learn about them and normalize their relationship with Equestria.
Soon, she meets Queen Chrysalis, and the bonds between those two will determine whether the mission is sucessful or not.

Chrysalis has been stripped of her crown and banished from the hive due to her failure to capture Canterlot as a stronghold for the changeling army. Now, she wanders the frozen wasteland of the Crystal Mountains, looking for some sort of hope. Perhaps she’s a dreamer, or perhaps she just wishes to find her place in this cold, unforgiving world.
