  • Gold Stories 18 stories A story with both high meaning and impact. A story whose themes resonate with me deeply, whose observations carried great meaning in my life, and whose flaws do not drag these down. My personal best of the best.

  • Purple Stories 12 stories A story with great meaning and impact, but a flawed implementation. What they’re doing is really worthwhile, but it takes some sorting through for the story to really shine.

  • Navy Stories 119 stories A story with solid meaning and solid impact. While they don’t reach for the heavens often these stories have charm and heart all on their own, and they stick with you, having brought you joy, sadness, or reflection.

  • Red Stories 90 stories A story which was meaningful and impactful, but only in the short term. Its charm fades over time. Breezier stories which while amusing or touching in the moment, move on with the wind.

  • Light Blue Stories 64 stories Short-fics, more or less. Stories which capture a moment or emotion but due to their length can’t expand on their content, but still offer meaning and value nonetheless.

  • Green Stories 15 stories - 124 unread chapters Stories which have potential, but which I’m waiting on the final chapter before I place them.

Hearts and Hooves Day was a whirlwind, especially for Cheerilee and Big Macintosh. They remained friends in wake of the fiasco that almost ended in hasty marriage, and Cheerilee never gave their friendship any further thought. They were just friends, nothing more.

However, when she learns of Big Mac and Marble Pie's fling over the Hearth's Warming holiday, Cheerilee begins to dwell upon her friendship with Big Mac. Could there have been something more to their relationship that she hadn't realized before?

After all, hindsight is 20/20.

Tom has no idea how he ended up in Equestria. For that matter, he has no idea who he is, or what he was, before he ended up in Equestria.

But he's in Equestria now, and he's a pony, and has no idea how things in this world work. Thankfully, he has one advantage: He can hear commentary by outside observers into this world. Hopefully they'll guide him better than his own lackluster survival instincts would.

Reader comments direct this story. Comments must be in the form of an imperative (i.e. 'do this') for Tom to receive them, generally.

Prince Blueblood, distant but traceable blood relative of Princess Celestia, lives as a tool of Equestrian society. He views his very existence as a debt he must pay, with few career options other than civil service. Fortunately, an attorney's duties suit him.

He believes in Equestrian society, for better or for worse. In his opinion, changelings rank among the "worse". So when the commander of the Wonderbolts accuses one of murdering Rainbow Dash, he sees his involvement as foreordained, especially once a Princess signs on to oppose him with revenge on her mind.

He is also widely seen as an extreme narcissist, only tolerated because of his link to Celestia. But many things are not as they seem.
