You're a fast-flying, teenage pegasus colt with dreams of glory! Having just transferred to a new boarding school in Cloudsdale, you're looking forward to meeting new friends, joining the wingball team, and finally hanging out with fellow pegasi. This year's going to be so awesome!

Except you're the only pegasus around without a cutie mark. And everyone already seems to think you're a total loser, before they've even met you. And your only friend can hardly stand up for herself, much less you. And you're convinced a certain rainbow-maned mare is out to ruin your life. Yep, awesome.

This is the story of your high school days at Wingbury Academy.

It's been years since Rainbow Dash left the Academy and is now living her life in the quiet town of Ponyville. None of her close friends know of her past in the Academy, the life she used to live and the pony she always loved...

When Spike challenges Rainbow Dash to a race, the winner of which must do something for the loser, she gleefully accepts. To her dismay she loses — but rather than make her do something embarrassing like she was expecting him to, all Spike wants is for Dash to treat him to dinner.

As the night wears on, Spike drops a few hints about his true feelings — which Dash fails to pick up on. Can she realise the truth, or is it too late?

Rainbow Dash was never the kind of pony to care about what stallions thought of her, or at least that was what everypony assumed. When Spike finds out that what she really wants is to to be treated like a lady, he offers take her on a date. After all, it was just one date.

This is a story about my infatuation with my best friend, and my constant fear of letting that secret out. Love isn't always an easy path to take, and it sure as hell ain't no sunshine and fairy tales.
