Twilight is faced with the chance to change another pony’s life. If she takes it, she will lose everything she has ever gained. If she decides against it, everything will remain the same. But to that pony, it would mean a world of difference.

This story takes place about a week after the events of the finale in season three.

Author note: This story has been stuck in my head since I first heard that twilight was going to be an Alicorn. This is my first time writing a story for this site so let me know what you think in the comments and also if you catch any mistakes I will do my best to fix them as fast as I can. It’s been three months since the events of The Sweetest Gem and The Gemmed Satyr, and everypony is in emotional turmoil.

Can Fluttershy stomach up the courage to take her relationship with Rarity to the next level? When Rainbow Dash finds out a dark secret about Applejack’s boyfriend Caramel, can she hold a promise not to tell her friend, or will her conscience make her do the right thing?

Does Sweetie Belle really have good reason to worry about her and Spike's future together? And just why has Pinkie Pie been so keen to hang out with Twilight lately, and what does she mean by the "prophecies" coming true'?

But their problems are only beginning. Trouble is brewing in Equestria. Strange things are happening all over the land: one of the royal sisters has mysteriously disappeared, a familiar evil is about to rise again, and the fate of all the hearts in Equestria will lie in these six ponies’ own troubled hearts as they search for a mystical place talked about only in myth.

Twilight had always been a diligent researcher. She would routinely pour over every book she had at her disposal in preparation for every royal assignment. Except, sometimes books can only teach one so much. With this heretical idea in mind, Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash decide to take it upon themselves to make sure Twilight keeps her wings clean, and doesn't embarrass herself in the sky.

So we just nuked our friend dead through the power of friendship... well buck.

Applejack loves her little clearing in sweet apple acres, but she has yet to share it with anypony, but it doesn't stay that way for long. Soon, our favorite egghead lets her curiosity gets the best of her.
