This story is a sequel to The Sweetest Gem
The second episode of The Gems Trilogy. Rated Teen for strong language and sexual implications.
Rarity becomes desperate to find her special somepony once and for all as an air of romance in Ponyville continually surrounds her. But little does she know that her own best friend has been secretly harboring a crush on her for a very long time.
This story is told from the perspectives of both Rarity and Fluttershy, and will alternate between their POV's by chapter, with occasional third-party narration and multi-POV chapters to extend the story further.

I have to agree with Rarispy on this one, even in the show they refer to groups as "everyone" or individuals as "someone" on occasion, (check out the CMC episode where they're interviewing the mane 6 and Pinkie Pie pops out of the cart "where's everyone going?").
Also, wow, I look like a colossal nerd in this post... fair enough.

Why's everypony looking at me like that?
Rainbow's secret is that she is the butterfly, in order to have the best flying abilities in all of Equestria she must periodically become a mere butterfly to regain her strength. I thought that was obvious, but I guess some people can't see what's right in front of them.
Ok, two things really bugged me this chapter. The first is the spectacled butterfly, does the butterfly wear glasses or I am thinking of the wrong word. The second is Applejack's dialogue, using words like "swell," "by-golly," and not to mention "boy-and-howdy." Nobody talks like that anymore, especially not Applejack, that kind of dialogue belongs to 50's PSA's, not a modern cowgirl pony
The ponies don't seem very surprised for just seeing a butterfly wearing glasses!
If you were trying to say it had spots on it, the word is "speckled".

So much LOL's espcially that 'It's not what you think it is scene' with Spike and Sweetie Belle.
One question though Rainbow Dash can become a butterfly, how in Equestria is that even possible?
I'd expect that from Pinkie Pie or maybe even Fluttershy but certainly not Rainbow Dash and don't you dare pull Discord's "What fun is there in making sense?" line on me!
