The Grand Galloping Gala. A night of social grace and fantastic delights for many. A night of traumatic memories best forgotten for many more. Nobody knows why, but when Twilight calls the girls together and shows them a letter plus six tickets, the conclusion is clear: they're being invited to have one more go at making it the best night ever.

Everyone's got a plan, everyone except for the reluctant Rarity. How's she supposed even enjoy herself after such a heartbreaking debacle with the horrendous Prince Blueblood? Can she still have a good time? Can a certain steely-eyed soldier help?

It had been about a month since the changeling incident in Canterlot. Everypony is on edge, because stray changelings keep popping up here and there, trying to blend in with the population. Everyone worries that one of their closest friends, or even their family, could not be who they appear to be. But what happens when a pony isn't really that pony...

...but they're not a changeling, either?

Celestia has just resolved the Changeling attack, and receives a letter from a former student of hers... one she had thought was long gone, and she had long since... almost forgotten.

When a human appears in Equestria and is considered a threat, he is forced to flee from everything in the new land with nobody to help him while he is chased by colorfull ponies that want nothing but put him in a cage.

The Sangheili are a saurian species of fierce, proud, strong, agile, intelligent warriors and skilled combat tacticians. They are named after their home planet, Sanghelios, and are known to Humans as Elites, due to their adeptness and skill in combat. The Sangheili formed the military backbone of the Covenant for almost the entirety of its existence, they fear very little, and take great pride in an ancient, honor-laden code.

However, this group of Spec Ops Elites, Grunt, and Kig-Yar have crashed landed in Equestria by way of a slipspace drive being detonated in the middle of the ship they were heading to, the 'Glory Upon Salvation'.

Now they have to find a way off the planet and back into space so they can continue their journey to the Blessed Path... by dropping hot plasma on human worlds.
But will they want to, when something they revere tells them otherwise?

Recently tagged as Teen for implied violence, and (maybe) minor gore in future chapters.

SGT Jennings dropped into New Mombasa to take over a Covenant cruiser. When a lucky Anti-Aircraft shot takes away his ability to control his pod, he careens end-over-end into a slipspace portal, and emerges in Equestria.

Be warned, there is more cursing in the beginning then there will be later, due to an all-military environment in the beginning.

When a spell by Twilight Sparkle brings the Achievement Hunter crew to Equestria what will happen? Will the crew be able to help ponies get achievements? Will they be able to help them get real life achievements? Will Geoff and Jack be able to keep their sanity? Will Ray and Michael be able to hold their excitement? Will Gavin continue to be an idiot? We might only be able to know the last one! Read on to find out!

A/N: This was just a completely random idea that popped into my head when I saw a picture of Applejack with Jack's beard being called "AppleJack Patillo." It all began thousands of years ago in some dark and smoky cave with a tale-teller chanting to his awe-struck tribe huddled around a sputtering fire. He told of strange beasts, angry gods, and dark magic afoot in a dangerous world. He embellished a bit too much, and technology was young. Nothing could be proven, so these stories became ghost stories.

But in a civilized Equestria, ghost stories are just for fun. Just for scaring fillies and colts on a Nightmare Night slumber party.

So, when an orange filly happens upon a book out in the everfree, she doesn't think twice about sharing its contents with her easy-to-scare friends. What she doesn't know, is that she didn't find a book. She found a journal. And it's not like any ghost story she has ever read.

A horror fic, or at least my attempt at one. Based heavily on the Slenderman legend, or at least my interpretation of it. There won't be any gore or sex, so don't think this is your typical "Oh, it's already rated R for being scary, lets just throw a few sex scenes in it" that Hollywood tends to lap up like a thirsty dog.
