Lyra started to magically pull Fernando's foot. In response, he took hold of the closest thing he had at his reach, in this case the trash container, and griped it with both hands.
"Let go!" Lyra commanded as she struggled to keep her magical hold. She looked to his hands to see if she could somehow let them loose, but when he saw the way they were gripping the corner of the trash container, she went in enthusiastic mode.
She approached Fernando, not stopping her magic, which seemed to get enhanced with her excitement, and examined the way his fingers were bending around the trash container. She made a squeal and started to rant
"They are exactly like the drawing, and how my grandpa described those things from those monkeys" she gasped when she got a sudden realization "what if we can recreate them for ponies!" she exclaimed, turning to Fernando and hopping up and down, much like Pinkie Pie. "I already tried with monkeys, but those were too little, and they weren't as intelligent as you, but this time it may work! What do you say? If you come with us and let us study these hands, I promise that you can keep five of those appendages!" she pointed to his fingers.
"Okay... you are now officially the weirdest pony of them all" Fernando thought freaked out. The idea of losing almost all of his fingers sickened Fernando, made him panic because he wouldn't be able to play video games, and then sickened him some more. He got the urge to throw up at the mental image of them being cut, and his hands went to his mouth to keep him from doing so. When he let go of the container, the force of Lyra's magical pull sent him flying some meters crashing through his still flying objects and catching one of his glowing stones. The sudden distance was enough for him to free himself from her grasp.
He didn't waste time and went up to his feet, he pocketed his stone, and dashed as fast as he could away from the obsessed pony.
"Wait! You can keep another one if you want!" Lyra yelled before following him. Some meters above the ground, on the rooftops to be precise, Discord was laughing his tail off from what he had heard.

Fernando was running faster than ever. Lyra wasn't athletic, but some time ago he had a brief encounter with Applejack and the rest of her team, plus Trixie, and at that moment even Applejack had a hard time catching up on him, and Rainbow couldn't get close because of the multiple clothes lines.
"Damn it!" he cursed when he saw that he was approaching the street, and risking a look to his back, he saw that the ponies were no more than five meters away. Sighing, he continued his race for his fingers and freedom, and when he got out of the alley, what he predicted would happen, happened. 
As soon as they all left the alley, Rainbow Dash flew over him, blocking his path, and the amount of ponies that happened to be there made it impossible to go around her or in other direction, and the other Human Hunters, plus Trixie, blocked the way he had come through, making a circle around him.
"Dammit Dammit Dammit Dammit" he thought repeatedly while looking around. He didn't saw anything and looked down in defeat, and something caught his eye.
"The sewers!" he thought relieved.
His pursuers slowly approaching, in case he tried something at the very last moment, and he did do something at the last moment, not how they had expected. Rainbow lunged at him at the same time he was lifting the floor drain, but she expected him to immediately jump inside. Instead, he used it as a shield against Rainbow, but she stopped using her wings and barely avoided the hit.
"Ha! Is that everything you got?" she teased cockily. Fernando shook his head in a negative way and then hit her in the head with the drain, jumping in immediately after that.
Rainbow Dash fell to the floor with the hit. Her eyes looked in two different directions for some seconds before she returned to normal. She narrowed her eyes and whispered
"It's on" she then followed him in the sewers, a bump that was almost as big as Applejack's already on her head.
Before the rest of the hunters could follow their rainbow maned partner, the other team arrived at the scene having noticed the crowd that had formed.
"What happened?" asked Twilight to Applejack, trying but not succeeding in not keep staring at the lump on her forehead.
"We found the human, and he pissed off Rainbow" Applejack responded
"Were is him?" asked Twilight again
"He jumped in the sewers, and was followed by Rainbow" the farmer pony answered again.
"Well, then, we need to get moving!" Twilight said. At that moment, Trixie made herself know by shouting
"Stand aside. This is a problem that only The Great and Powerful Trixie can solve!", after her sudden shout, she dived in the smelling tunnels. The Hunters sighed in exasperation and jumped in too.

When Fernando entered the dark sewers, he stopped himself before darting in a random direction.
"Hide in the darkness!" he thought dramatically to himself before sticking to the darkest part of the side of the tunnel, blocking with his hands the light from the glowing stone, and avoiding as much water as he could.
He saw as Rainbow jumped too in the tunnel, and she started to look around. Fernando noticed that her eyes remained as clear as if they were at the normal light level.
"Right, cartoon logic" he thought before closing his eyes. He then heard the sound of galloping getting away and he dared to open his eyes, and saw that he was alone, or so he thought. He felt a breath to his neck, and we could have heard him scream like a scared girl if his voice was some octaves lower pitched.
Hearing laugh, he looked to one side, but didn't saw anything. Looking to the other he didn't saw anything either. But looking up, he saw a pair of yellow eyes that he knew too well.
"Do you have to scare me every freaking time!" he thought
"Nope, that would make me predictable" answered Discord.
Fernando would have argued some more if he hadn't seen the other seven ponies and dragon enter the sewers too. One of them starting to run in a random direction, shouting something about not needing help. He decided that now his best option was a tactical retreat, and by tactical I mean tiptoeing as quietly as possible. It didn't help that because he still couldn't use his stone to illuminate his path, and he ended up falling in the water, startling the ponies and making Twilight light up the tunnel with her horn.
They saw half a human sticking out of the water and a draconequus laughing at him. Fernando and Discord turned to see them. Discord waved goodbye before teleporting away, and Fernando smiled nervously before jumping out of the water and starting to run away, the ponies already chasing him.
Fernando was starting to get tired from all of the running, and he knew that he didn't stand a chance against four unicorns that could easily restrain him.
"There must be a way to distract them!" he thought, and as if on cue, Rainbow Dash came into view in front of them. She too spotted Fernando and started to fly in his direction. Fernando saw his chance, and when she was about to crash with him, he dived under her, rolling on the floor and returning to an standing position from the impulse. For her part, Rainbow crashed with the Hunters, knocking them to the floor, and some of them falling in the water.
"Rainbow Dash" said Rarity threateningly from the sewage. The pegasus turned to the unicorn and saw the killer stare she was sending her way. She gulped
"He he, you know that was an accident, right?" she asked, but Rarity started to stand up slowly and dramatically walk to where she was "Right?" she asked again, emphasizing the question. With a battle cry, Rarity lunged at Rainbow Dash and she was unable to move from sheer terror.

Some distance ahead, in an intersection of another two tunnels, Fernando was trying to regain his breath. Discord appeared next to him and said
"To tell you the truth, I didn't thought possible that you could escape from them this time". Fernando turned to him, unable to make a glare while heavily breathing. "But even then, how are you supposed to reach the next city?" Fernando didn't understand the question. He looked around and he comprehended what Discord meant. It was already night outside, and the only light that formerly made his way through the drains, now was inexistent.
Fernando tried to use his only glowing stone, but the glow was too faint to reach the ceiling. He sighed and thought
"I hate to admit it, but you're right. I need another way to find the drains" he then heard Rarity's battle cry, what sounded like someone being chocked, and some other voices trying to calm down said unicorn. "They're distracted, so I got some time". He sat down to think, and after some minutes, he got a plan. "Hey, Discord, can you make this stone glow brighter?" he asked to the draconequus
"Yes, I can do that" he responded nonchalantly. Fernando waited some minutes with an expecting look on his face, but Discord wasn't doing anything
"Well?" he asked
"Well what?" returned Discord
"Are you going to make it glow brighter?"
"No" 
"But, you said that you could..." Discord interrupted Fernando
"I said I can, but not that I would" Fernando glared at him, and in response, Discord smirked.
"Would you at least make it move on it's own when one of those ponies gets somewhat close?"
"Mmm... I don't know..."
"It will be a way to annoy them" Fernando tried to persuade him, and succeeded.
"Okay, then..." he snapped his fingers, and four tiny legs appeared under the rock, "now it will move when a pony is about ten meters"
"Good, now I need a paper sheet and a pencil" Discord took said items from his nostrils and handed them to Fernando. He reluctantly took them, and was about to write when he remembered that they had another writing system. He got a sheepish look and then he said "Can you write? I don't know how to write in your script". Discord rolled his eyes and took the paper and the pencil back
"Is it to create further frustration in those ponies?" he asked, and Fernando nodded in response "Okay, what do you want me to write?" Fernando whispered something on his ear, and Discord adopted a confused look "What does that even mean?"
"From where I come, it's a way of making fun of someone that thought that he found what he was searching for" Fernando answered. Discord shrugged and wrote anyway "Oh, I almost forgot. Tell them to take care of Glowy" Discord arched an eyebrow, and Fernando pointed to the rock that he had on his hand, which looked like it was sleeping. The draconequus shrugged again and wrote what he was asked.
When he finished, Fernando took the sheet and attached it to the rock with a loose string from his trousers and walked in the opposite other way, leaving the glowing stone in the ground.
"Hey, Starswirl," Discord said Starswirl with sarcasm "how are you supposed to see where you're walking" Fernando extended his hand and took one of his ears, and then flicked it, creating a clicking noise, and Discord eyes suddenly started to shine as if they were a flashlight "Oh, right" he said without amusement.

Back with the Hunters, they had managed to get Rarity away from Rainbow Dash, who was being bandaged by Fluttershy.
"Rarity, do you promise not to kill Rainbow Dash until we find the human?" asked Twilight to the fellow unicorn
"I promise" Rarity responded through gritted teeth.
"Do you Pinkie Promise it?" asked Pinkie, looking at her in the eyes, their muzzle almost touching
"Cross my heart and hope to fly. Stick a cupcake in my eye" she said without looking away. Pinkie glared for some seconds before she returned to her normal self
"Okie dokie loki" she said and returned to a place out of Rarity's personal space
"Now that we sorted that out, let's continue!" Twilight commanded, and the seven ponies and Spike continued to run through the sewers, hoping that they would still be able to find the human.
"I can see something!" said Rainbow Dash
"Me too!" responded Twilight.
"That must be the same glowing stone he had back at Ponyville" said Fluttershy, remembering their brief encounter. They were getting closer, but the glowing dot started to move away and they started to run even faster to catch it. 
While chasing it, they found odd how he wasn't as fast as before, but they didn't care that much, because it made things easier.
When they were very close to the stone, they got very disappointed that it was not Fernando, and were about to give up when Twilight saw a paper sheet to it's side.
"Don't stop yet. That sheet may be a clue!" she told to the others, who now also saw the paper. They started to run again at full speed, quickly covering the few meters that were between them and the living rock.
Twilight started levitating Glowy, took the paper sheet, and started to read for everypony
"Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down...? What does that even mean?" Twilight asked confused. She turned the sheet around and saw more text "Please take care of Glowy" Twilight turned to the stone and wondered if that was Glowy.
"We were tricked. That makes no sense" commented Applejack, but Pinkie, who had a thinking look, thought otherwise
"You're telling me that you don't get the hidden message?" she asked as if that was the most obvious thing in the world "Think. That Fernando is a male, right? So what do stallions always thinks about?" Rainbow Dash thought a little and blushed at her thought and opened her mouth to say something, but was interrupted by Pinkie "That's right. Money".
"Yeah... Money" Rainbow muttered, looking around suspiciously. 
"Somepony would never give away all their money, and an easy way to get more, but risking loosing it, is with bets. That means that he is going to a place where he risks his money, that he doesn't want to lose, nor let down, but he is still putting it at risk, and the only place I know like that is Las Pegasus!" 
After Pinkie finished, everypony else stared at her incredulously, but finding some sense, considering that Discord told them to go that way.
"Okay, since it's probably past the midnight, we should get some rest before going to Las Pegasus. Fluttershy, you're in charge of the stone" she passed Glowy to Fluttershy, who put it in her mane to keep it safe.
"Um... Twilight, why are there no drains in the ceiling?" asked Spike. Twilight looked up, and sure enough, there weren't any drains that they could use to get out. Also, with the sudden silence that there was, they were able to hear a faint sound of a river coming from further down the sewer. Twilight cursed under her breath and responded
"Because I think we're not under Fillydelphia anymore"

In the outskirts of Fillydelphia, a drain was pushed out of it's place, and from it emerged Fernando, who after checking his surroundings, got out and went to an alley to rest a little
"I wonder how I'll get to the next city" he thought before drifting to sleep, hidden by some trash cans.
