In the Dreamlands, the Princess of the Night meets a young fashion designer named Coco Pommel, drawn to her passionate vision of sparkling white and brilliant diamond and rich indigo. While helping her learn to speak her feelings to the mare of her dreams, Luna is reminded of a mare from her own past. One that lived and died a millennium ago, in an Equestria far different from that of the modern day.

After almost two decades working under Princess Celestia, Chronicle has... acclimated to his position as her seneschal. The process was rarely easy and never comfortable, but he did it. Every year, H.R.H. Princess Celestia chooses a different city to host the Summer Sun Celebration. Unfortunately, her absence from Canterlot doesn't stop the palace from hosting one of the largest parties in the Equestrian Diarchy. If everything goes according to plan, Chronicle will be able to spend the evening in the privacy of his solar, waking up just in time to see the sun rise on the thousandth consecutive Summer Sun Celebration.

When Princess Luna was subjected to the Elements of Harmony for the second time, she thought her troubles were over. When her sister forgave her and brought her to live in Canterlot, she thought she would finally be able to move on.

Months have passed since then, but her life has done nothing but stagnate. Worse, her old problems continue to haunt her. A voice lurks inside her thoughts, tormenting her with its vitriol and arrogance. It promises her a new beginning, but she has heard that lie before. She is done with Nightmare Moon.

Unfortunately, it isn't easy so easily removed. Luna wants to move on, to be her own pony once again, but the beast insists she can't do it alone.

She prays it is wrong.
