Celestia wants Twilight and her friends to loosen up a little bit around her. Luna just wants to try the hard cider. During a surprise visit to Sweet Apple Acres at the tail end of cider season, Princess Luna has just a bit too much to drink, and when she makes a rather inappropriate joke, Twilight comes to the very uncomfortable realization that she has never seen Celestia excuse herself to use the restroom.

Celestia summons Twilight to Canterlot so they can study the nature of alicorn magic together. Joining her is another princess from the Cantoribbean Isles. A disturbance in the castle forces Celestia to leave while the other two continue their studies. Later, Spike reveals that Luna has gone missing. Twilight wants to abandon her studies to help but a growing rivalry between her and the other alicorn princess clouds her judgement. Can Spike talk some sense into her or will they be too late to save Luna?

While helping Twilight with her geriatrics studies, Pinkie Pie uncovers a clue about Spike's past. Following this lead, they head out to uncover more...

Apple Bloom takes a shortcut on a joint project for Twilight time. This poor decision inadvertently leads to a discovery about herself that will change her life forever.
