Speed Reader may only be a temporary product of a fusion spell brewed by Dash and Twilight, but she's still got the Wonderbolt Barracks to herself for a whole half hour before she splits again. Just long enough to tangle with someone whom her halves would most certainly kick to the curb if either of them were in control.

But they're not in control. Speed Reader is. She can read ponies like books, and Lightning Dust is after something in the archives. Something important.

After Gilda's last encounter with Rainbow Dash and her friends, the griffon hadn't heard anything from her pony friend for a long time. It made Gilda think that Rainbow Dash forgot about her. Fortunately for Gilda, Rainbow Dash was hard-headed. Unfortunately for Gilda, Rainbow Dash was also high-strung and so stressed out of her mind that her train of thought was completely out of whack. With a few letters detailing Rainbow Dash's situation among other things, will Gilda be able to help salvage her friend's relationship? Or will Rainbow Dash leave Gilda's place as a husk of who she once was?

Gilda couldn't imagine Rainbow Dash failing. She'd do anything in her power to fix this, even if it meant admitting that she liked Rainbow Dash too.

Rainbow Dash is certain she's about to have the best week ever! She's gotten a letter from her idol Daring Do, inviting her to an expedition to the ancient Centaurian ruin of Midnight Castle to retrieve a lost Equestrian artifact! A daring adventure with Daring Do? What could go wrong?

Well, for one thing, Doctor Caballeron could show up, chasing after the same artifact. For another, Lord Tirek and Cozy Glow could show up too, with their own nefarious plans. Wait, but they're supposed to be in Tartarus!

Maybe this isn't going to be such a great week after all...

Within our little corner of the multiverse are several agencies all funded by the Crown along with other 'backers' whose names you won't find in any public files—organizations that exist to handle certain tasks at the behest of Her Royal Highness. Many of these agencies work behind the scenes, out of the public eye. They strive to keep not just our country, but the world itself safe from the more dire threats that plague it.

There is an infinite number of universes that exist, some of which have been explored and countless others that we know are out there but have yet to see with our own eyes. There are those that are trained to take such risks. venturing into the unknown and unknowable for the sake of our continued prosperity. And then there those that deal with the nastier things that slip through from time to time. There are ponies and other creatures that specialize in dealing with those things—more often than not eldritch abominations so obscenely hideous and mindbendingly horrifying that the mere sight of one can drive you insane or kill you outright from the fear alone.

While there is some general overlap, I am not officially part of either of those groups. My name is Twilight Sparkle, and I am a newly minted agent of P.O.U.T. or the Procurement of Outlandish and Unearthly Treasures. My role is just what it says on the tin. I find and seize mysterious and often deadly artifacts that have been classified as 'not of this world', preferably before they end up in the hooves, claws, or paws of innocent and hapless civilians who have no idea what they're dealing with.

Cozy Glow, along with Twilight, goes to the Crystal Empire to see Flurry Heart, the ruler of the Crystal Empire. Feelings of love will blossom in the pegasus mare. The problem is that Cozy doesn't know how she will confess to Flurry Heart. Will she be able to declare herself? And will Flurry feel the same as Cozy and accept to be her marefriend?

Twilight makes a visit to the school of friendship to check on Starlight in her new position of headmare of the school. Starlight is really nervous, there’s a crack on the wall, and there’s a looming threat of eternal doom upon the entirety of Equestria. But surely none of those things are related. Right?

A millenium before the adventures of Twilight Sparkle, Equestria faces a different threat: minotaurs. When the Crystal Empire's northern defences are breached by the minotaur hordes, Equestria must raise an army for its defence.

Falabella Mulan enlists in the army to spare her father and younger brother from having to fight. But is the army the right place for this small unicorn mare?

One pony may be the difference between victory and defeat.

The story is largely based upon Disney's Mulan, though it's also influenced by the original Chinese epic poem, and will include added sub-plots detailing the political machinations within Equestria, the Crystal Empire, and the minotaur nation, covering an extra battle and an adventure in old Manehattan, and delving into the origin stories of a couple of My Little Pony villains.
