This story is a sequel to Returning Home

With the defeat of the Changeling Queen Chrysalis and the Swarm, Twilight departs for the long forgotten Harmony Empire however when they arrive not everything is as it seems. Darkness is rising and the wind whispers of a great evil that is soon to come, the clock ticks down to the final hour as old wounds cut deeper. Their only hope lies in a long buried secret that will change the course of the future and reveal the dark past of how Equestria came to be.

Twilight Sparkle, Element of Magic, Hero of Equestria and first casualty in the Changeling war. When she passed she became the rallying cry for the Equestrians in the short lived war. When Chrysalis attempts a surprise attack on Canterlot a mysterious figure in armor appears and slays Chrysalis in front of the princesses. Now it's time they learn that anyone can change.

War. Noun. (1) : a state of armed conflict between different nations or states or different groups within a nation or state.

"Soldiers are always preparing to fight the previous war" is a saying that is common amongst those of military profession. Equestria has not seen a war on her own soil in several hundred years. As such, would she be prepared for when such a thing happens? Of course not.

Battling the griffons and the minotaurs has been a challenge due to lack of experience. Fortunately, her armies adapted and started to hold her own. That was, until Tirek returned and aided in the fight to defeat Equestria. To keep his friends safe, Discord successfully defeated Tirek and sealed him away. The cost of fighting Tirek? Dying. Knowing that he would die, Discord summoned several creatures to protect his friends. These creatures, never seen before in Equestria, are very familiar with the concept of war.

This world has experienced their second industrial revolution and Equestria is at war, a World War, the first this world has seen. Equestria and her citizens have a lot to learn if they want to see the end of this conflict with their culture and way of life preserved.

After five months of living in Equestria, more specifically in Canterlot Castle, it finally feels like the constant staring is long gone. You've gotten acquainted with a handful of guards, and even had a good friendship with two civilians. Life is starting to become a lot better, until somepony makes an off-hand comment about Nurse Redheart's paper on your health.

Sheogorath. The Prince of Madness. A man who has grown bored with his own world. When he brings his insanity to a land of peace, the Royal Sisters find themselves thrust into his world. A land of perpetual war and chaos. Survival is the least of their problems. If they are to find each other and return home, they must call upon the aid of a hero of prophecy. After two decades of tyranny, the end of the Galactic Empire had come to pass. The Emperor Sheev Palpatine, also Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith, was slain by his own apprentice, Darth Vader, in attempt to save his son's life. His life-support system heavily damaged in the process by Darth Sidious's Force lightning, Darth Vader did not survive and died in the hands of his son, on the board of Deathstar.

Yet that was not the end.

What nobody knew was that the prophecy of the Chosen One has never been truly fulfilled and that the defeat of the Sith was merely the beginning of all glorious things the Chosen One had been destinated to do.

Through the arcane power of The Force, Vader found himself resurrected and revitalised on a strange world, with a second chance to redeem himself for all the atrocities he had commited. In time, he may bring forth things that would change the very course of the Galaxy. Only The Force will tell.
