The two Royal Sisters ruled Equestria. They were its Protectors, its Guardians, its leaders, selected by the three tribes. Starswirl the Bearded, he was their mentor, he was there to guide them, he was there to counsel them. Perhaps, they may even view him as their father-figure. Many believed them to be true.

This was not entirely the case.

The Royal Sisters past is something none would venture on to question, how were their life before becoming a Princess, what feat of events that awakened the hidden powers within them? None would know except the King.

Now, the King, the true Guardian of Equestria, has returned. They were bound, not by flesh, but by the bond they shared. He shall return as promised.

There are many legends and mysteries in Equestria. Many of these speak of the Frozen forests. A realm, covered in snow and ice that inhabits the darkest places of a ponies mind, containing their darkest fears, their worst thoughts and their most-deeply held secrets, bound in the cold and the frost. Here, hidden in the icy expanse, lives the Lich-pony.

The ruler of the frozen forests and king of the snow, the Lich-Pony watches the masses, never seen, but always there. It has been his job to watch over the realm and protect its secrets for many millennium, isolated from the rest of the ponies....for good reason. But what if one, over-curious Unicorn, by the name of Twilight-Sparkle stumbled into the frozen forests? What if she met the Lich-Pony? And what if she left an exit open?

"I see....only darkness....before me..."

It was a Faustian deal...I knew that going in. It was asking judgement day to come to Equestria, but I believed that saving her was worth any cost. I don't know if I was right or not, but I do know that we have to do it without her -- that I have to do it without her.

So come, Arthas. I'm ready. I do not fear death...and I do not fear you!

Luna is many things: a goddess, princess, and wife. What happens when she has a secret that threatens to unravel every one of those things? Her secret weighs heavily upon her, but can she bear to tell it, knowing it is the only thing that will set her free?

Sombra is caught up in all that reformation entails. His wife's turmoil isn't lost on him, but he has yet to piece together just what it is that has her waning.

Twilight Sparkle has always been the faithful and most capable student of Princess Celestia. There has never been a challenge too great for her, nor a single villain who could shake the foundations of her loyalty. When she is sent to the Crystal Empire to complete a test, she finds herself in a comprising position.

Waking up in a jail cell, she is now the prisoner of evil King Sombra. However, not everything is what it seems. Secrets of the past reveal to show that neither Sombra nor Celestia is what history makes them out to be. Is this new truth enough to shake Twilight's loyalty for the princess she always considered to be kind, tolerant, and compassionate?

Princess Luna is supposed to be her sister's equal. She watches over 12 of every 24 hours, after all. But she isn't, and everybody knows it. Equestria adores the one who brings warm, sunny days, and ponies sleep through her nights. Even her sister sometimes seems to forget that she's supposed to be one of Equestria's ruling diarchs.

Luna seeks help from the only pony she thinks can make a difference: Star Swirl the Bearded. He provides a spell, one she can use to change herself into the pony she wants to be.

Unfortunately for her (and the rest of Equestria), things don't go quite as expected.

So yeah, I've decided to do a displaced story where a guy gets turned into a grimm from RWBY, specifically the Nuckelavee. Maybe within the first five chapters I'll get some crossovers with other stories/writers going, who knows.
