Alicornhood is a dream that most ponies never consider past their tenth birthday, when they finally understand reality. For Twilight Sparkle, that reality was just turned on its head. The day after her ascension, after the excitement and happiness has worn off slightly, the facts of the situation finally set in. During a breakfast conversation about the responsibility she will soon bear, Spike asks a simple question: "Do you really want to be a princess, Twilight?"

In a land of eternal night, a brave band of heroes stood against Nightmare Moon to return the Sun to their world. In a desperate bid for victory, they broke an ancient spell to pull six legendary heroes out of Limbo so that they could do battle with the Night Tyrant.

This is not the story of that battle.

It is the story of the monster that returned with the heroes - and how it found love.

Sunset has been in the human world for so long she's almost forgotten the taste of her favorite food, but an encounter with a few of Applejack's hay bales incites an uncontrollable urge within her to indulge in her old pony pastime.

This story is a sequel to Where We Left Off

Professor Haysworth, with the green light from Princess Celestia, resurrected Fluttershy, bringing her back in a pony-robot hybrid, Equestria's first cybernetic pony. It was a second chance to live her life and to enjoy the daughter she never had the pleasure of meeting. She was bought back home to her family, back into her husband's loving arms, but having her back after so long is a massive adjustment which begs the question of morality involved.

Liam the Human is taking it all in very slowly and cautiously, not sure how he should feel or think about the situation. Thankfully, his daughter is too young to understand anything. However, how will Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy's childhood best friend for life, react to meeting her again after a four year bridge? Will she accept it, or reject the idea? This is the story of Fluttershy's family's life trying to rebuild itself, along with old friendships that were put on hold.

The assassination of Paddy's father, the wealthy oil magnate Rockfeller with the promise that Paddy would use her connections to wipe away Jean's debt.

Join Jean and Paddy once more as they embark on their second journey, a dangerous adventure from Haukland to Equestria by any means necessary. With General Petroleum's thugs and other bounty hunters on hot their heels, the pair has found themselves to be unlikely allies in an impossible mission.

But all they have to do now is just make it back to Equestria in one piece...

I awoke one fine morning, with an absolutely ruthless hangover. My situation wasn't helped by the fact that I'd gone to sleep on Earth, and had woken up somewhere completely different.

As it happens, I was in Equestria. At the time, of course, I was blithely unaware of this unhappy fact. I had every reason to believe I was still on Earth - I mean, what maniac wakes up and, in a flash of misguided inspiration, goes "Well bugger me, quite clearly I am on Jupiter today", y'know? I simply believed I'd been driven into the countryside and left there by my absolute twat of a drinking companion/ room mate, as any sane man would.

Needless to say, it didn't take long for me to determine that I wasn't still in Scotland. It wasn't raining, for one thing. Pretty major tip, right there.

So here we are, I suppose. At the beginning. It mostly goes downhill from here.
