It's been quite the eventful day here in Equestria. Between weddings, engagements, foals being born and crowning ceremonies, everypony has been very busy. A lot has changed over the years. The girls all had their own dreams to follow so they didn't see each other too much for a while. This was in no fault of them not wanting to see each other, but that they simply had no time. Of course they did see each other from time to time and wrote each other everyday.

They weren't the only ones whose lives had changed. Almost everypony had something new going on in their lives. The royal family, Discord, Cadance and Shining Armor; everypony in Equestria had changed the last few years. Some things never changed though.

Friendships were still strong with everyone. Ponyville was still a bustling little town, great for raising a family. Canterlot was still the stunning capital it had always been. The Crystal Empire flourished under the rule of Cadance and Shining. In the grand scheme of things, everything was still the same happy place it had always been, with the same happy ponies young and old.

Not everything was great though. Dark forces had also increased over the years. Though they seemed to have died down, they were really just hiding, waiting for the right moment to attack.

While trying to make her family tree, Rainbow Dash finds her mother's family totally missing from public records. Maybe with Twilight's help, she'll learn something about her ancestry.

Life can be a rough gig, and life in Ponyville is no exception. Between pestering Parasprite plagues, dreadful Diamond Dog droves, and colorful Crusader craziness, Twilight Sparkle could tell you that moving to a new town can be quite a hassle. This… is not her story.

Instead, meet Reason. He is not a bearer of one of the Elements of Harmony. He is not a cadet-warrior-pegasus-in-training. He is not a wandering unicorn vagabond living in a dangerous, post-apocalyptic Equestria (that would be silly). No, Reason is a regular earth pony with regular earth pony problems trying to carve out a life for himself and his sister in the not-so-regular town of Ponyville.

Set during the events of Season One, Reason must navigate the perils of a normal pony’s life in a town that is less than normal, juggling romance and duty, and ultimately discovering for himself whether friendship truly is magic... Or, you know, not.

After all, in a place like Ponyville, anything is possible.

Twilight faces the thought of immortality with her usual aplomb: falling down into a ball of misery and confusion about her role, and what she will do in the eventual absence of her friends and family.

That is, until a much older Twilight Sparkle takes the time to talk to her.

Life is full of surprises. That is a known fact. However, you always expect some kind of minor surprise, like your train arriving a little too late, or your ice-cream having vanilla taste rather than strawberry. But sometimes, life will give you surprises you could never predict. For Fluttershy, it was three little foals. But not her own foals, or even orphans. Three little foals that used to be her and her friends' most fearsome and dreaded foes.

Will Fluttershy's nerves survive this onslaught of misadventures? Will she keep the three villains hidden? Will she even become friends with them? Why do I sound like a narrator to a bad criminal drama? Don't think or try to answer those questions, just go ahead and read!

Celestia uses them to try and keep her faithful student and friends in line, and try to keep an unbalanced world on the straight and narrow.

This is much harder than it sounds.
