I am in tears right now. Not necessarily bawling, but then again, that rarely even happens with me; so hard is it for a fanfiction to really make me cry. What Discord did, my God, that got me so hard. Thank you for making this. This is definitely one of your best, because of how strong the emotions are. There is no description, really, not much narrative. A lot of it is dialogue, but that is all that is needed for this, because it's their voices alone that made this so powerful, like I said. This was amazing, truly amazing.

2138998 Huh. That, I didn't notice. But after thinking about it, yeah, that's certainly a nice consistency. Especially since Celestia, in a way, is the reason Discord and Twilight even met (with her sending her to Ponyville and becoming an Element of Harmony and all) in the first place.
I understand Twilight outliving all of her pony friends but how did she outlive Spike? So (unless something killed him) shouldn't he have outlived Twilight by hundreds if not thousands of years?

Everything about this chapter is spot-on and amazing, aside from the "the day Spike died" thing. Spike would have outlived Twilight and her friends a dozen times over, if not more. Him coming to terms with it would have been a very interesting thing to add on, or just a brief summary of it.
Seriously, that Spike thing completely broke my immersion and halted any feelings from bubbling up to the surface for the ending. Bad timing with that. :/

After Rarity died, Spike refused to eat. When Twilight tried to help, he refused and ran away. A search party was sent after him.
His tail was found in a Timber Wolf den.
Almost as sad as Eternity's End. I like this one better though.

You got me to tear up. That is hard for a story to do. This was so sad and I really enjoyed it.
Also, with Spike's death, I'm guessing he was doing something for his friends and fell off a cliff. And then a giant rock landed on him. Yeah...
I can't believe that you killed Spike.
And pretty much every other cast member smh.
Having immortality portrayed as not inherently sucky and that mortality was Discord's choice was a good subversion of unrealistic angsty stories. Seeing Luna and Celestia mourning lost friends, still content with their eternity, and ultimately persuading Discord to tell the truth to Twilight was more mature than most attempts to tackle the trope. Though, you still should have shown the wedding as they reminisce you gosh-darned hecker.
