While organising the restricted section of the Canterlot Archives, Twilight stumbles across an old secret, one that Celestia had forgotten about, and Luna had hoped long buried.

Drawn back to the Boiling Isles for the first time in many years, the two find themselves wrapped up once more in old rivalries, conflicts, and the antics of a certain demented owl lady.

Neither Hexside nor Equestria have any idea what's about to hit them.

Off to a fantastic start. Especially love the interpretations of Celestia and Luna (with all the stuff Celestia's pulled she deserves that snark from Luna)
Eager to see where this goes and what happens when they go to the Boiling Isles, keep up the great work

I've never watched The Owl House, and other than reading about it in a previous chapter of Sunset's Isekai, I don't know much about it as a whole.
Still, this looks like an interesting story, so I will be following it to see what happens next.
Mainly because I can't help what happened ON the Boiling Isles to make our dear Royal Sisters (and most especially dear Luna) to be so upset about Twi's discovery.
Looking forward to the next chapter, and beyond, so have a Follow (both of the story AND you), a Track and an Upvote.

It had been a little while since Twilight had taken over rulership of Equestria

*sigh* SMH

Another The Owl House crossover? Already on To Read. And the only reason I'm not reading now is because I have Online Class.

It really is a good series, you should give it a watch. If you liked any of the other 'really popular with adults' cartoons that came out in the past 5-ish or so years (Gravity Falls, Steven Universe, Infinity Train, Over The Garden Wall, Hilda, etc.) you'll probably like it.

10538667 I think I might, once I find it.
As to those others, I... will admit that I wasn't really into them.
But I'm more than willing to give TOH a chance.

There's just one big problem with this story. Where is the Twilight tag? It maybe Celestia and Luna focused. But Twilight has a big part in this, so her tag should be here.

10538721
It means “shaking my head”, as in I’m shaking my head in disappointment at the fact that the author, whom I respect and whose work I follow closely, would go and write anything relating to that god-awful final season, which I think we all ought to just forget about.

10538715
It depends how big her role is, you don't need the tag just because she makes an appearance.

10538818
I personally loved the final season and thought it ended very well.

10538894
Hey, dude? If you don't want people to say you're toxic, you should probably not crap all over someone's comment section just because you don't like which season they're basing their fic on. You have every right to dislike S9; you don't have the right to use someone else's work as a soapbox on how much you dislike S9. Take it somewhere else.

how old is Eda anyway, i won't believe the sisters know her personally if they're from the boiling isle's 1000 years ago

10538883
I had mixed feeling about the ending.

On one hand they left it on a high note with sending it off to the next generation. The other was just sad to see it end, that and the made Spike look like a miniature beefcake that did not look good at all and should have hired someone that did fan art to do it right.

10539242
I agree older Spike looked REALLY off lol.

Another great chapter, can't help but get the feeling with just how much they say "Oh don't worry it's been a thousand years, no one will be left who remembers what we did" that they are gonna reveal only a few years have passed in the Boiling Isles and Eda is going to instantly recognize them, but only time will tell on that front.

Eagerly awaiting the next chapter

Okay, now the setup's out of the way. Time for the fun part.

I bet Eda would say that Celestia owes her money

And of course it's Luz who finds them first.

Welp, this'll be.... interesting.

Also Santo cielo is Italian.
Its Dios mío. Trust me because my family speaks Spanish or Google Translate

The girl had light brown skin, dark brown hair, and was wearing a distinctive grey tunic. Her eyes were big, brown, and practically popping out of their sockets as she stared at the three alicorns. "So… cute!"

I mean, I'd call the Royal Sisters more majestic than cute, but yes.

Espero con muchas ansias el siguiente capítulo

Si, un habla hispana leyendo una historia en inglés jaja

I've added in a Twilight tag! Honestly, I was originally planning on only having her appear in the first couple of chapters, but I realised that that was silly and am putting more of her in now!

Santo Cielo is rare in Spanish speaking countries, not wrong, just rare, more like a very unique speaking form.
Dios mio, lit oh my God is far more common and just flows better.
If you need help with Spanish I would be willing to give a habd

Celestia is kind of being suspicious, even if we don't really given a reason for her to behave that way. At one point she lied to Luna to stop them from going there.

"Now I know why you look familiar, they still have your old wanted posters in the Conformitorium! You're Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon! The Demon Sisters of Hexside!"

Celestia has a criminal record and failed to erase it?! That's a first and I love it!

Luna tried to glare, but the blush on her cheeks ruined the effect slightly. "I am not a plushie."

This is great.

"I don't know, this all seems fairly suspicious," Celestia said, giving Luz a scrutinising look. Her grey tunic was familiar, but Celestia couldn't quite put her hoof on why.

As it should.

"I'm not suspicious at all!" Luz replied earnestly, though her face fell a second later. "The person I'm taking you to see on the other hand… uh…" She stared blankly into space for a moment as she thought. "I'm sure it'll be fine! Just make sure you keep your money safe, and be careful where you sit. Oh, and don't touch her staff."

Sounds about right.

Celestia sighed heavily. "Of course they do," she muttered sarcastically. Those glorified tyrants caused us all manner of grief when we first came here. It only makes sense that they'd still be around when we got back."

Not fond of Belos, eh?

Eda snorted loudly. "Seriously? What, was Queen Cutiepuff already taken?"

Not as far as I know.

"Luna?" Eda blinked in surprise. "Hold on a second, does that mean that you're Celestia?" Celestia's blood ran cold as Eda's eyes widened and she broke out into an ecstatic grin. "Now I know why you look familiar, they still have your old wanted posters in the Conformitorium! You're Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon! The Demon Sisters of Hexside!"

Ah.

I’m all giddy and I can’t wait for the next chapter! I’m practically Luz when she found out about Hexside!

Ohhhh, boy.

Welp, this'll be... interesting.

"Now I know why you look familiar, they still have your old wanted posters in the Conformitorium! You're Daybreaker and Nightmare Moon! The Demon Sisters of Hexside!"

Ooh! I imagine Twilight will be like :twilightoops: in the next chapter.

Things just got more interesting! Looking forward to learning the story behind “The Demon Sisters”!

Something tells me Twilight's image of Princess Celestia isn't gonna survive the trip.
Also, Principal Bump is going to have a heart attack when he finds out who is back. :rainbowlaugh:

Well well sounds like the sisters have a rep, look forward to finding out more.

"Luna?" Eda blinked in surprise. "Hold on a second, does that mean that you're Celestia?" Celestia's blood ran cold as Eda's eyes widened and she broke out into an ecstatic grin. ~Fall's over and laughs~

Oh man hooty never changes 😆 also can’t wait for the next chapter

"Oh, for the- Luz, what have I told you about bringing weird creatures back here? Remember what happened with the barking toad?"

Luz held up her hands placatingly. "I remember! It's fine, I'm at least fifty percent sure that these ones won't explode and cover everything in deadly poisons. Besides, they were talking about portals so I figured you might be able to help them."

...I'm not sure what's more concerning, that a Catachan Barking Toad somehow made it to the Isles, with the new implication that The Warp is a thing here. Or that they somehow survived the kilometer large poison cloud of instant death.
Still, interesting story, and looking forward to the next chapter.
Oh, and that Lulu and Celly's 'evil alter-ego' names were actually their attempt at cool, edgy high school nicknames.

10587061
Luckily for the group, said Barking Toad was of the Lesser variety. It is believed that it ended up in the Boiling Isles after being caught up in the migratory teleportation of an old and incontinent Crotalid.

10591196
Welp, lest it didn't drag along any of the MEGARACHNIDS! Somehow, I can see the whole incident going word for word like it did between Vulkan (Luz) and Corax (Eda). Minus the temporary death nap. Happy holidays!

I FREAKING LOVE THE OWL HOUSE! LUMITY FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eda snorted. "Nope, it's because she literally broke daytime. The Boiling Isles were pitch dark for like four days afterwards."

*LOUDLY LAUGHING* Celestia broke day?! She nearly freeze the Boiling isles for 4 days and flooded them!!! Celestia can have those days where she cause harm then good.

"Of course not," Celestia replied sincerely. "It was a thousand years ago, I doubt anyone other than Eda even remembers us."

Hello Murphy? We have a good one for you

10598981

Belos isn't gonna be happy about NM and DB return, that's for sure.
The fact Luna chose her edgy teen persona for her villain phase tells a lot about regarding her actual maturity.
And damn, if only Twilight had a little less scruples she could get pretty much anything from Discord in exchange for some of the Sisters' dirt.

"Of course not," Celestia replied sincerely. "It was a thousand years ago, I doubt anyone other than Eda even remembers us."

DARN IT CELLIE PUT TWO AND TWO TOGETHER ALREADY AND FIGURE IT OUT! Time works differently in the Isles and in Equestria, the Emperor's Coven has only ruled for fifty years so that's the longest it could have been there, you're both most likely going to run into your Exes eventually (which will be both awkward and hilarious)

That, and what little Luna did know was still embarrassing in the extreme, and while Celestia had a whole mountain of dirt she could dish on her little sister, that wasn't a battle that either of them would walk away from with their head held high.

Mutually Assured Destruction.

"Actually, if it's not a problem, I just need to have a quick chat with my friends first," Twilight cut in, her tone deceptively, and disturbingly, light and cheerful.

Oh dear.

Celestia sighed. "There was a group, the Emperor's Coven, who were trying to enforce their rule over the rest of the Boiling Isles. They forced the other inhabitants to restrict and bind their magic when they came of age, only permitting them to use one type of magic for the rest of their lives." She gave Twilight a serious look. "I think you of all ponies will understand when I tell you that Luna and I flatly refused to follow that silly rule."

Naturally.

"Of course not," Celestia replied sincerely. "It was a thousand years ago, I doubt anyone other than Eda even remembers us."

Ahaha...

A crossover between my two favorite shows!? I'll definitely have to check this out!
