Thank you, you're the only one who has provided any constructive criticism this entire time. I've never really been much of a long story writer, if that makes any sense. It is mainly due to the fact that I work 2 jobs and I'm in college trying to maintain my 4.0 GPA. I wish I did, but I don't really have time to sit down and write entire novels.
I keep the chapters short and simple because I can knock these out in about half an hour to an hour, tops. Is it detrimental to the plot? Probably, but it's proven to be at least somewhat effective. The positive outweighs the negative, I'd say I must at least be doing something right. I appreciate you being real with me though, man, you've surely earned my respect. I might beef this up later, it will all depend on how I'm feeling.
People react differently to things, what'll make some people feel bad will not even faze others. For example, My Little Dashie by ROBCakeran53. That story's one of the most popular and considered to be one of THE saddest fics on this site. Didn't even warrant a reaction from me. Great story, well-written, I sat there and read the entire thing because it was that gripping.
I could do that, if I wanted to, but the fact of the matter is, I lack the patience as well as the time to put that kinda work into something that doesn't really accomplish anything. I'm doing this for fun, really. People have liked it so far, and I'm surprised and glad that they did. What this basically boils down to is me paying homage to an actor from a childhood cartoon I enjoyed. That's really all it is.
I didn't expect anyone to like it, I expected everyone to hate it, quite frankly. They didn't tho. I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing. If more people agree with your opinion, then I will definitely take it into consideration. If you're expecting a full rewrite or some shit tho, you're out of your mind.

FINALLY! Someone got the reference.
So as far as chapter one goes, the dialogue is solid the story is good so far and I’ve only finished chapter one. The scene setting is well done, the only problem I can find is lack of descriptive or atmospheric writing to describe things and expressions, especially during the reveal of the bad news. That’s a common thing, but easily fixed. I’ll post another review for chapter two tomorrow.
