This sounds fun... I'll get to it tomorrow.

Neat, should be fun. There aren't enough stories of Sunset returning to Equestria.

OH THIS IS AWESOME!!! I was expecting a one shot, but multiple chapters!?!?! :raritystarry:

I’m hooked! You’ve already made this a larger story than what I had envisioned and I am loving the inclusion of Juniper.

Thank you for offering to write. I may not comment on every chapter, but rest assured that I check fimfiction everyday to do some reading. I will be waiting anxiously, yet patiently for your updates.

well, this should be interesting...

awesome looking forward to more

Another great chapter. I wonder what she will study?!

I just love how slice of life these are; is such a nice pace and it is fun to read how these three could get along; kudos and keep on the good work my good lord or madam.

Very cute. Since Celestia is requiring Sunset pass these tests to make up for Sunset being in another dimension for a decade, how is Celestia going to respond when Starswirl insists she and Luna finish those essays they still owe him?

:trollestia:

in imitation of Rarity Idea!!

Daaw, this is cute. I'm keeping an eye on this.

that is so cute and is sunset Celestia's daughter i only ask because of these lines.

She slid sideways a little and leaned down to nuzzle me. “I missed you, my shimmering sun.”

“I missed you too,” i whispered. “Mom.”

That was the implication, yes. I’ll probably go into it more later.

Let’s go fly a kite, up to the highest height, let’s go fly a kite and send it soaring...

Considering how much better at magic Starlight is than Twilight or Sunset right now , can you imagine how good she could have been if she was formally taught at Celestia's school like them instead of self taught?

awesome looking forward to more

and sudenly spanish inqui.... shipping ! I mean shipping!

While she would certainly be "better" at magic, that doesn't mean she would be good. The discussion has been had that Twilight, because she absorbed Celestia's philosophies during her studies, is constantly holding back her full power. Starlight believed that if ponies would not embrace equality then they should be made to. Imagine THAT mindset with the tools gained from Sunbutt...

8673463
Problem here is that the Pony of Shadows confirms there are unicorns with more power than Twilight. So there is no excuse why Starlight couldn't be more powerful than her as well.

Plus if she had been trained in Celestia's school, she would have never gotten that mindset to begin with. Sunburst. A lot of friendly unicorns like Minuette and Lyra.

There lies the mystery. A unicorn cleary as powerful and good with magic as Starlight should have been sent to Celestia's school. She's loves magic enough that she would have been all for it, especially with the added bonus of seeing Sunburst again. Why wasn't she? Is it a cost thing? Celestia is too friendly and motherly to let bits deny a pony from enrolling. She cleary takes great joy from teaching these young fillies.

This all goes back to her parents and her home life. So many questions..

8673615
It isn’t that either are more powerful, it’s the application of their power that differentiates Star and Twi. Star may be stronger, but she is more likely to Choose based off emotion than Twi, who (usually) uses logic. There are always exceptions (Want it need it, bottled up) but they follow two different methodologies. Self-taught vs formal schooling. Off the cuff, well planned.

And as far as the duel in season fives finale, all Starlight had to do was stymie Twilight. Twilight needed to stop or correct the changes she made to the timeline.

8673633
That duel actually supported my idea that she either matches Twilight or surpasses her. After that one duel, Twilight was unable to cast any spells for a bit. But then you got to take into account Starlight had to continuously keep her flying spell going during the entire duel meaning she wasn't bringing her full power against Twilight either....

Interesting story and I agree. Celestia is more than likely Sunset's mother. Doesn't matter how to me. It's just what I personally believe makes the most sense.

And now I'm caught up with yet another one of your stories. At least you have an abundance of them, so I don't have to wait forever to read more of your work! Great job with this one as well. You are constantly getting me hooked on more and more of your stories!

I like Juniper having to learn how to be a pegasus. It's cute, and is something I hope we get in a future official installment with any born-human character.

Up through the atmosphere! Up where the air is clear! Oooh leeet's goooooo FLY A KITE!

This chapter, I like it. ANOTHER!

plaez sir might we have more.:twilightsheepish:

Very nice chapter my friend keep up thegood work

Dan

Wait, there's a pink unicorn in the room? Who?

8861045
Starlight has a pinkish coat. Or at least that’s how I perceive it. The actual name is escaping me at the moment.

Either that, or that jalapeño cupcake from earlier. I really need to stop trying Pinkie’s inventions.

:pinkiehappy: What? It's good...

This sounds really good.

Either that, or that jalapeño cupcake from earlier. I really need to stop trying Pinkie’s inventions.

I really want to try that cupcake. I love Jalapeños.

And there's the SunLight I was looking for. So many feels for my OTP.

That was so sweet. And this is why SunLight is my favorite shipping.

A very nice story. While I generally favor RariTwi I can easily see Sunset and Twilight hitting it off. There so very alike after all.

I just realized Sunset with her powers, at least in this story, is like a changeling in some ways. The biggest difference is that Sunset doesn't eat the emotions (as far as we know).

I had left my geode in a drawer in my bedroom to avoid random flashes, but I could sometimes pick up strong emotions. And I think I was picking up excitement from Twilight.

That could be an interesting comparison to bring up in the future.

I want to make a Yogi Bear joke here, but Fluttershy would be disappointed if Yogi stole the pickanick basket. So he won't. :yay:

Ah, okay. The native EG!Sunset moved there and that's why Sunset decided to come back.

Something tells me that tonight is not going to be perfect. But I'm sure everything will all work out.

Why did you make the chapters so short?
