I really like this Discord and the Daybreaker that went with him, they feel just right in their roles and make for a very enjoyable reading.

I've never read the comics that show Nightmare Star as Celestia's alter ego, but from what little I've seen of it, it doesn't seem to be that much different than Daybreaker. It's basically "evil celestia" at the end of the day, right?
It's not really so much that Discord forces her to transform; he more just pushes the right buttons, and Celestia makes the decision on her own on reaction.

Same here. I'm not usually one for writing aggressive and bondage sex, but I didn't really see it going any other way with Celestia's power-hungry alter ego. I still had to make it clear that it was all an act to a certain degree, hence why I had her revert back to Celestia and provide some nurturing aftercare following all of that hostility.

I have no idea which comics you're talking about tbh. But I mean, I've always viewed 'Nightmare' as a seperate entity. Luna didn't transform into NMM, as much as she showed a moment of weakness and the 'Nightmare' took it to take her over. Nightmare not being a part of Luna but rather a third party.
I think the comics actually confirm this with Nightmare Rarity.

the FiM wiki mentions that Nightmare Star is an alter-ego of Celestia in the IDW (or whatever company) comics based on the series. I think it's an alternate universe that they visit or something.

In one comics Celestia and Mane Six ended in some sort of reversed world where good Sombra rule over Equestria and reverse-Celestia and reverse-Luna are both villains. But I'm not sure if reverse-Celestia ever call herself a Nightmare Star and in general she definitely not as cool as Daybreaker.
PS. In reverse-world Chrysalis represent Love (and with her glasses and manestyle she looks like a schoolteacher), Derpy/Muffins - Wisdom. Trixie - IIRC Humility and Flim and Flam represent Piety or something like this :).

I'm still not sure how the whole "nightmare" thing came to pass. I used to think it was a symbiote creature like Venom, but I've been kind of drifting away from that idea more and more. Starlight's dream kind of showed Celestia as Daybreaker in a way that she didn't need any symbiote taking over her mind; she just needed to lose her cool enough that she snapped and decided to go all evil on everyone (unless that's Starlight's dream not having a clue how alicorn princesses turn evil).

Plus the fact that this is the 2nd episode we've had where Celestia had a major presence since like, season 1 (or season 5 if you count the brief appearances she had at the 2nd gala). I'd hope the fandom would be excited that the best princess in the show is finally getting the screentime that she's been robbed of after the first season.

This story is fanastic; simply glorious! Not only sexy as all hell, but also humorous and relatable as well! You really sold this ship to me, you truly did.
Props to you for giving special attention to Celestia's anus. It was just the right amount of 'screentime' to complete the scene without going overboard -- not that I mind overboard when it comes to the glorious ponut, as my groups would attest, it's just that this story works wonderfully as is. In particular, I enjoyed it when, in the midst of giving sloppy oral, Discord's nose squishes against Celestia's tailhole. Unbelievably hot. Unf.
It is a masterpiece. So enjoyed it.

He actually is: it's just that he doesn't want it to become the norm for the rest of his relationship with Celestia. If he wasn't liking it, he would have said so as it was happening (and I wouldn't have written it, because I don't enjoy stories in which the characters aren't 100% consenting to what's going on).
It might have helped if I had incorporated the existence of a safety word in case something got too intense for him.

Of course she would. The ending of the story implies that Celestia was in control the entire time. She was aware of everything that happened; she just enjoyed getting into character and dropping the need to be a good princess after having to do so all day for so many years without much chance for a break.

It feels a bit weird that they are already together when this story starts out? I did not expect that, not as my default assumption, nor from the summary. The dialogue describing how their relationship developed doesn't feel quite natural, either, I'm afraid. There's too much of them mentioning things they both know purely for the sake of the reader. You can get away with doing that a little bit, but this much of it doesn't fit right.
I don't usually look at romance or clop starring Discord. He strikes me as the kind of being who wouldn't necessarily have a sex drive, who indeed might not understand what the fuss is about. But I thought the premise of this story was really interesting, so I decided to check it out.
(BTW, Celestia calls herself 'princess', and as such should be addressed as 'your highness', not 'your majesty'. Just sayin')
Interesting that Discord didn't actually have to push too hard to get Celestia to transform into her alter ego. Though I guess if it took too much prodding, their relationship might not survive...

10 bits says Discord made a calculated risk and intentionally pushed Celestia over the edge, banking that it wouldn't be him or any of the others he mentioned as having done more in defeating vilains that brings her back but Celestia herself from within Daybreaker. (Disclosure: I haven't read Chapter 2 yet.)
