Oh this is going to be good, I haven't seen a FoE story where Sunset goes back to Equestria to retake it from the Caribou, best part is that the Human Celestia and Luna are coming with human weapons too, it's Caribou Hunting Season now.

Also what if some of the other human characters go through the portal with mass amounts of weapons, I could see Human Vinyl taking her car through and using the sound system on it as a MEGA Bass Cannon on the Caribou, by the way what happened to Discord in Pony Equestria?

Really looking forward to seeing where and how you are going to go with this. Like you I read the Fall stories and got angry with them. Not at the content per se, but at the terrible writing. At the cheap and poor attempt to copy and paste the Gor setting onto Equestria. At the horrible dialogue and simply terrible portrayals of the show's characters.
It's ticked me off something fierce.
So, I'm really glad to see you've taken up the gauntlet and started on this. If I was you I would anticipate a lot of downvotes and angry comments from the FoE crowd. Ignore them. Write your story the way you want to. After all, they did.

I dont get the FoE-revenge circlejerk when it's just brutal fetishized porn, it's not like you cant find those themes in other fics. There seems to be this trend of people writing these "righteous" stories as some sort of PSA "hey, im not condoning this, just look at my story!"... Sure is low hanging fruit. The story's so far good, but still.

I approve of this fic and everything it stands for. My only complaint is that Luna's one-liner was not "Canterlot High takes inappropriate behaviour on school grounds very seriously" or something like that.

Interesting beginning, and it could be promising. But, with a couple things like Sunset's telepathy, it seems like I'm coming into the middle of a series, but I don't see any other anti-FoE fics on your user page except for the one short story - are there other fics that I'm missing?
8067589 With regards to Sunset's telepathy, that's the result of this taking place post Legend of the Everfree-Sunset and co. have had no contact with Equestria since Friendship Games. This story is Sunset's introduction to the Fall of Equestria setting, more or less.
I, unfortunately, don't have any more anti-fall stories at present. Year of Misery and Hope is a planned to be more or less an anthology of short stories or mini series that build up the setting and what's been happening since the initial Caribou invasion.
I do have plans for more stories in the near future, including a story starring Luna being very clever, and have a descent chunk of the next chapter done here, and have about half a chapter done for Year of Misery and Hope as well (here's a spoiler: Not every country rolls onto its back when confronted with the Caribou.
