Almost sounds like Celestia ISN'T the person that made that letter...

Not really.
Well, the vamponies could've had a much worse introduction.
Okay, so, we now know the vampirism's for fruit, not blood. That again points to Fluttershy, since she had some sort of relapse right at the end of "Bats!". Why does it make the victim insanely horny, though? Horny enough to give in to getting yourself brain-scrambled, assuming that's indeed what happens?
Wait... maybe the whole maledom/femsub slant is actually a product of Fluttershy's personal kink infecting more and more ponies along with her vamponyrism?
Glad to hear we'll be seeing more regular chapters again.
Twilight took a big jump in behavioral change at the beginning of the chapter, then towards the end she sounded more like she used to, yet didn't make a comment on her earlier writings.
I certainly wasn't suspecting the Rainbow Box would still be in play. Still the way it worked, I'm not sure Twilight losing her horn would work for it. It should need to be something given to her by someone else.
Did I miss the identification what illegal activity Twilight was talking about?
FineChyna, that's a bit presumptuous. Remember, Celestia lives with Luna who may be a victim of them, which would make her a fairly easy target. Also, Twilight makes an observation about Celestia's writing. Previously we saw Cadance have difficulty using her hooves instead of her horn. Celestia is a lot older so she might have more experience using her hooves instead of her horn.
Also, you're suggesting that the ponies of Equestria being rapists into body mutilation would be a good thing? Cause if Celestia DID put that bit into pony brains and it's the only reason they're like they are... well I said earlier it shouldn't take being tied to the canons of a children's cartoon to find that kind of stuff bad.

O_O
Holy sh*t!

No no no, it actually makes sense!
Think about it this way: Who was the last person with Fluttershy before her bout of depression? Discord. Who could have the power and sheer sadistic drive to twist the ponies into something like this? Discord is certainly a contender. Who used to lord over the ponies in a past age of strife and suffering? Discord. Whom did Celestia and Luna fight to protect the little ponies? Discord. Maybe Discord did something to the ponies a very, very long time ago. Celestia (or someone else) used some power to block that part of the brain. As a parting gift, Discord undid the blocker in Fluttershy's brain (for whatever reason, she honestly appears to be happier now than before!), and she in turn contacted some sort of cult who wishes for ponykind to return to that kind of state.
It's... disturbingly possible.
And no, that's not necessarily suggesting it would be a good thing.
5616912 while it could be true, I doubt it. Discord's magic doesn't seem to last past the use of the Elements of Harmony.

Maybe it wasn't something he personally did. The plunder vines were perfectly happy to grow even without his direct intervention. Or maybe it was a different party altogether, and Celestia and Luna couldn't do more than put in a blocker. The main reason I'm still suspecting Discord, other than my reasoning above, is that the vampony-horniness plague seems like it was mostly tailored to spread... well, discord. Unless there is also a spirit of lustful perversion out there, which, all things considered, is just as likely as anything else.

Still look at how Rarity and Fluttershy responded to Shining Armor. He calls bitches and they run to his side. Pretty orderly

To your last block, it could be a natural overcompensating effect. Once the part of the brain limiting them gets removed, they go from "pushing the boundaries of what's sexually possible just to be normal with 2.5 kids" to "pushing the boundaries of what's sexually possible with a shred of sanity." Of course, that's true regardless of if that part of the brain is natural or something celestia did...
I am currently very glad that we never find out what those two did to Spike. I hope it stays that way.

I feel like it's more what they did WITH him, rather than what they did TO him, if you catch my drift.
Second Viewing
Then learn, Twilight, I thought you were the studious type.
Even if it's fallacious, it can still happen, Twi.
"Did you have sex?"
Some ponies: "Yes?"
"To the mooooooon!"
Eh, he was getting a little rapey, but otherwise no shame in that. He felt good, you felt good. Just don't reproduce for obvious reasons.
Magical lobotomies tend to do that for some reason.
And judging by how well it works in later updates you may as well have spent the time writing this flicking your bean instead.
"Yes Mistress!"
...why not? Simple logic would dictate that one casting of the spell would put the infection back a day, then another casting would put it another day back. So what's the problem?
"To the mooooon!"
Eh, I'd say the situation calls for it.
............
See the dinner scene(Day 42) for why this is bullshit.
In communist Equestria, red flag raise you.
Convenient how "Celestias" message falls in line with the secrecy the Order wants isn't it?
I swear by Celestias secret porn stash if the last key turns out to be Twilights severed horn I'm going to be very surprised.
.........well give it a try then. Options are limited.

To be fair, I'm not sure Twilight's self-assessment is actually flawed here. On Day 42 she was essentially jumped from all sides by a small set of ponies who already had firm opinions, and their arguments were not something most Equestrian citizens would (presumably) immediately warm to without factual backup.
I have suspicion of celestia... Well now I must be anonymous
Alright, I just feel the need to stop here for a second to lay down my current thoughts so I can laugh at my naïveté later.
I keep coming back in my mind to her folks and Shining saying she's 'fixed up' or has been 'fixed' and it needs to be undone for her to understand. I'm starting to suspect that they weren't just talking about socialization and propaganda — that Celestia's mind raping right next to them.
Damn, but Twilight's set up to fail here. She clearly has some submissive tendencies, but the way things are she has no hope of figuring out that there's a difference between consensual, loving BDSM and the Order's abusive extreme male/dom schtick. As it is, her feelings could only make her feel guilty and wrong.
Well good, Twi's finally decrypting the letter, maybe we'll find out something concrete. Oh, nope, Celestia was not only vague and cagey, she used an encryption with built in ambiguity. Between that and the hapax legemonon in the prophecy I'm starting to question whether there is such a thing as objective reality in this world.
Oh, and it's pretty obvious the thing Twilight wouldn't write about was her and Pinkie banging Spike. And Spike's also my best guess for the person Shining looked at past Twilight. Which, along with Rarity's line about him knowing way more about sex than Twi, leads me to think he's actually in with the Order
I'm going to have to add information about what happened in the hills soon. Celestia forgive me.
Fuck.
does almost seems appealing doesn't feel grammatically accurate.
8718081
It's technically correct, which is good enough for Twilight.
My reaction is the same as Twilight’s: a sharp unexpected laugh in the middle of all the tension. I love little details like this as I read.
