"Alright Scoob, let's unmask this foul lunar fiend!"
*GASP*
"OLD MARE TRICK QUESTION?!"
A valid point, unless she was convinced that Celestia wouldn't listen for some reason.
HELL YEAH, THINGS ARE LOOKING U-

I think it's fair to assume from this point onward that Celestia is compromised.
Is your name Discord?
Wut.
well, it's either not really Celestia or she's lying. Because as seen in Lesson Zero Celestia can teleport. Therefore I find it highly unlikely she can be held in this way. The dramatic letter makes no sense and seems fake though. That's how you talk in coversation not write. Twilight should realize this, but then you've had her overlook plenty because of her mindstate. However if it isn't really Celestia some of the comments are strange. Telling her she can be pardoned could encourage her to go farther, but it also warns against violence. If they're worried they're driving her to violence why not alter their approach
The hidden text makes me think about one of my whacked out theories. Discord breaking canon. The Order's inconsistency in behavior. Discord breaking canon is causing fanfic to leak in. And the marbles are what keep ponies tied into reality. So basically every pony with their marbles is living in MLP:FIM and every pony without them is living in a smut or dark fic, but not necesarily the same smut or dark fic
It is more than a little gratifying to finally see Celestia's (and by proxy the nation's status quo's) side of the argument, and that it's exactly how things seemed to me (if she's not outright lying). It's a little concerning that she appears completely in the dark, and strange that she can be detained by bad weather and some guards, though.
This reinforces the big question mark regarding how the BDSM sex stuff has literally anything to do with anything other than taking shit over.
She seemed pretty adamant that the Unicorn secret be kept, and that it doesn't explain anything. The fact that she'd even outright admit she values it so much she'd erase the memories of a whole lot of ponies to keep it is a little disconcerting, but she frankly hasn't racked up a bajillion negative trust/goodwill points like everyone else Twilight has talked to. I guess it's impossible to judge her honesty via letters, but as is she's literally the only pony that provided reasonable sounding explanations for anything.
My first guess on the secret, given all that's happened, would be that the horn could somehow be used to control the unicorn. Only problem with that is that Celestia said it has nothing to do with them, which isn't true if she thinks they're using the secret somehow.
Trixie is fun. Her story sounds much less depressing for some reason. Probably because it's impossible to be depressed with The Great and Powerful Trixie around.
And of course that final added note. That implies a whole different sort of problem to the one we think Twilight is faced with. Very, very interesting.
Damn you Trick Question, just when the sex stuff and Twilight's lack of progress seems to grind everything to a halt suddenly there are interesting questions again. I really do hope that this isn't just a brief breather before Twilight is back to bouncing from rape to rape without learning anything that isn't told to her by her rapists in between insisting she's the problem.
7360476 Whenever I write letters I write the way I talk. I find it gives a more personal touch.
How in the F- is The Order good enough to handle Celestia but such screw ups when it comes to Twilight? I really hope it's not an outside force. I want the ponies to own this mess. If it's an outside force then they can just blame it on the alien. See I'd never do that. It was them that did it. I was forced. I'm beginning to believe that strange virus did more than make it easier to convert.
And why the letters now?
uuughh.... :-/
7360476
Eh, she can teleport but you could make some vague assumptions about her limitations regarding distance. I don't think we have proof on her range from the show as we never see both her start and destination for any given instance, right? Twilight practically broke physics, and it was supposed to be pretty badass (it was), so I think we could at least assume that the trick Twilight used isn't something anypony else could manage, or is at least risky enough to not be used until desperate.
Damn were getting to zero escape levels of deepness.
7360506 what trick are you referring to?
7360505 Because she has access to scrolls now I'd imagine.
7360520 Arzoo is referring to the Twiliport Loop from when she escaped the Crystal Kingdom.
7360505
This is the first time Twilight has had access to an ample amount of scrolls.
As for Trixie, she just has great (and powerful) timing.
7360476
I don't think teleporting into a different kingdom is realistic.
Technically, we've never seen Celestia teleport at all. In Lesson Zero she arrived at Ponyville quickly, but she didn't teleport onscreen.
7360548 Celestia's an immortal Alicorn with more than a thousand years of flying experience. She doesn't need to teleport all the way. She could teleport out and fly for example, while Twilight isn't comfortable with her wings and probably has a lot less endurance
7360550 her positioning and the glow didn't strike me as just flying in.
7360580 Celestia couldn't handle the clouds in the season premier, and those weren't intentionally there to stop her. She could rapid teleport, but there are clear limits to what her power can do.
7360601 they also weren't living beings which feel pain. Plus I don't think there's that many pegasi in the Crystal empire
7360619 She also can't know how far out the storm reaches. She could teleport into the middle of the mess for all she knows. After that she could get all turned around and die in the middle of nowhere with no way to know which way to go.
Doing something stupid that could easily get her killed helps no one. Keeping close to the enemy could give her a chance to glean information. Even if she could escape she'd be tactically better suited close.
7360493 the bdsm stuff is why they're taking over, I think, despite what they say
if its unicorns specifically, maybe it has some tie to myth of unicorns and virginity
7360629 I' just don't I buy weather stopping her
7360641 Don't watch the season six premier then.
7360639
Hmm, the virginity connection is a good point. The horns are usually an ingredient in stuff, right? Other than that I only associate them with healing, though I'm not very knowledgeable on Unicorn myths unless we're talking D&D.
7360671 Maybe ground up unicorn horns are an aphrodesiac

I really hope you break out a changeling plot device as a way to help Twilight combat the Order of spring at some point. The changelings need a good reveal here.
7360675
Lol, it says something that that would be so incredibly boring of an explanation compared to what we expect.
7360550
Actually, we did see it. Not when she arrived, but when she leaves.

However, teleporting over large distances is difficult. Twilight managed to singe Spike and herself when she did so by accident. If it were easy, Celestia could simply teleport out of the way of incoming attacks. At this point, Twilight's skill at teleportation is likely higher than Celestia's, in this story and in the show.
7360675
What if it's that Unicorns can see the future? Luna said Twilight would be able to at some point. She also said Starswirl had the ability. Maybe they've got the potential, but it drives most of them mad?

7360703
this just goes to show: never underestimate fans, they will find everything
7360710 If that was the case you'd think they'd have seen Twilights escapes coming.
7360649 not really what I meant, since you know in the premier she was stuck in one place and using her magic on the storm
7360721
Maybe. If it's about reactivating that skill...
However, you're probably right. Well, Luna might still be able to see the future. That would explain her weird behaviour. At this point, Twilight can't even trust herself because somepony can take control of her body while she's asleep.
7360505
Twilight's been breaking the laws of reality several times during her escapes. I'm not really faulting them for not anticipating a paralysed, horn-restrained Twilight would suddenly know how to Sombra-port her way through the floor.
7360703 teleporting away from attacks, at least while staying on the battlefield might not be the best strategy, since you have to reorient yourself when you pop back out
7360744
Twilight does it. That's why I'm thinking she's better at it by now than any of the other princesses.
7360737 Yup, the weather up there has a mind of its own after all. And there's a huge storm she has to get through. Which puts her in the same position regardless since, again, she doesn't know how far she has to teleport, and the further she does, the more drained she'd likely be. She could flee to Yak Yakistan, but the borders are closed, so that could cause more political issues than the situation can handle.
7360751
Yeah, it's almost certainly one of her signature spells.
By the way. Could be completely irrelevant, but...
The stars will aid in her escape.
7360771
Seems like she was trying to say something else though.
7360738
I meant, more on the political social manner. Fluttershy, let me repeat that Fluttershy is capable of handling a regent monarch of the very country she's from. One that does know fluttershy quite well. One that's, I assume, knows how to handle difficult diplomats. Fluttershy does so without folding and giving in to Celestia... yet whenever Twilight gets comfortable with the Order they rush in and show why they're the bad guys and should be stopped.
I know that I'm probably not explaining myself very well but. How can they be so effective in pacification of Two kingdoms yet do it in such an incompetent way. How unstable is Team Prude's world?? That the Three Stooges can subdue them?
I don't know if any of these letters are for real.
if this ends with a bad end i think i'm going to cry
7360779 Perhaps Twilight's mostly been dealing with the fuckups of The Order and those at homebase are generally more competent? Sort of like Fluttershy is Giovanni and folks like the CMC and Rarity are Team Rocket?
7360774
Yes. Something to do with stars. The show never explained how or why the stars helped Nightmare Moon escape, or what they even were. Could be moving stars are a sign of prophecy. Could be they're the sign of some being doing something. Maybe they're connected to this ominous friend of Luna's.
Again, just some crazy ideas. ^_^
7360779
Well, it would be plausible then that there are indeed different factions with the Order working different strategies. Maybe the Crusaders and Zecora are Luna's minions, while Rarity answers to Shining Armor, and they're not effectively coordinating their attacks on Twilight. Luna did say Shining Armor is worried sick. That might lead to mistakes.
Also, before I forget: The dimensions mentioned could also refer to the mirror portal.
... Heck, maybe the powerful friend is Sunset Shimmer. I don't expect that, but it's possible
7360787
I hope so... maybe that's why Luna said what she said.
"His decisions up until this point have been poor, ..." -Luna
I think that was diplomatic speak for. He's a f-ckup and I'm going to kick his ass for this.
And hopefully barbeque the red one too..
7360813 Yeah, he punched her out cold. Even by a 'for your own good' standard that's taking things a bit too far.
7360786
I brought tissues but some perverts here used them all up already. Better go get some more.
7360825 Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
7360839
Actually, that's a different story.
Also, you guys have actually topped 200 comments in less than two days, so... congratulations?
7360858 Already read it actually
7360858
We have hidden secret messages throughout our arguments. Find them all to reveal a diabolical plot to travel through time, replace alternate universe versions of ourselves, and through circuitous means alter history so that the seeds of this story are laid. And also people will be super racist about hair color; our bad on that part.
7360882 Damn those blondeholes!
