As a brony who prides himself on always knowing where the fine line between fantasy and reality lies, Joseph Ryan Ang was more than skeptical about where exactly he thinks he has landed himself up in when he stumbles and falls through a large hole in the forest while out on a solo hiking trip in the forests of Tennessee. But when he begins to encounter, and subsequently escape from several familiar creatures, each one harassing him and then moving on to nearly killing him on his harrowing journey back to civilisation, the realization that he just might have stumbled into another world altogether begins to take hold.

The realization then batters relentlessly against walls of skepticism, but even as the evidence begins to mount before his eyes, he continues to hold on to the incontrovertible facts that there are no such things as portals, and manticores and wolves made out of wood and bark do not exist.

At least, that's what he thinks until he bursts out of the Everfree, and discovers that he's landed up in Equestria.

All in all, it's just the kind of day that would have had him swearing loudly and at length.

But Joseph's arrival in Equestria isn't just due to fickle chance, or to the myriad ways of destiny. Dark forces of the world stir, their eyes intent upon him. Sinister motives plot and scheme, and upon his arrival in Canterlot he soon finds himself embroiled in a shadowy plot more dire than anything he could possibly imagine, with far-reaching portents beyond his wildest dreams. As he races against time to unravel a conspiracy against the crown despite being surrounded by mistrust and prejudice, Joseph will discover what it means to be a protector and a guardian of what he loves... and more importantly, what it means to be human in a world of ponies.

This isn't just about the machinations of fate, the paths of destiny, or the fickle whimsies of chance. It is about the way a man is capable of forging his own paths by the choices he makes, despite the circumstances foisted upon him. It is about the power of the freedom of choice, to defy what destiny had planned for you and to create your own fate. It is about how even the unlikeliest of individuals can turn out to become even the most unexpected of heroes, and how one man's desire to make a difference can change an entire world.

He came to their world as a man who barely even knew his purpose in life, much less how or why he had arrived there.

To ascend the throne, an Alicorn must take it by force. Twilight has been raised by her Aunt, a horrific dictator, vowing one day to steal the throne from her. Twilight wants revenge for events that happened 1500 years ago. Her wings, her power; all of it was taken from her along with something she thought lost forever.

Upon moving to Ponyville, Twilight pretends to play by her Aunt's rules while secretly plotting her downfall. She meets a few mares that she 'convinces' to help with her devious plans. Celestia is always watching, and to make matters worse, Luna is returning from the moon soon.

The question is: Of the moon, the sun, and the void...Who is the real monster?

Ponyville's resident glassblower always was a little strange.

Four years ago, a changeling infiltrator found himself alone, and with no signs of backup. He followed the emergency protocol, stuck to the rules, and weathered the storm. With the proper application of patience, discipline, and heavy drinking, the years practically flew. Now the end is in sight, and it's safe to say that there's hardly any story left to tell, right?

Yeah, I thought so too...

The Crystal Empire disappeared long ago during Princess Celestia and Princess Luna's quest to cleanse the land of Equestria from all forms of evil. King Sombra was a great threat to their entire world and when his defeat came about, at the cost of the Crystal Empire vanishing from existence, it brought nothing but a whole lot of good to the world.

What they didn't realise however, was that Sombra had survived their confrontation and was now plotting his revenge against them both in the one way he knew how.

Twilight Sparkle thought she was the luckiest filly in all of Equestria when Princess Celestia asked her to become her personal student, but she had no idea she'd be a pawn in a game nopony is even aware exists.

Purple banners were decorating all Canterlot. Even the traditional Canterlot's Palace flags and banners holding Equestria symbol and the Princesses cutie mark were replaced by light purple one, all bearing a big purple star surrounded by small white stars.
Lots of important ponies were assisting at this major event of the history of Equestria. Ponies from across Equestria were crowded at the side at the main street of Canterlot. Friends and family of the pony that was the in honor today were here too.

But instead of the smiles and cheers like Princess Celestia had expected for a day like today, everypony was holding the event on a different way. She had to hold herself a stoic expression even if her heart wanted to be more open like the crying family at her side. Giving a last look at one of the banner wearing her student cutie mark, glaring at the black ribbon crossing one of the corner, Princess Celestia, Diarch of Equestria and a lot of title she did not care at this instant, marched upon the balcony for a meaningless speech at Twilight Sparkle's funeral.

After the rocket was launched, everyone celebrated. The Combine could no longer send reinforcements to earth, and the remaining troops were now isolated. However, Lamarr, a headcrab under Kleiner's care, jumps into the rocket before launch and goes along with it to space. Fortunately for Lamarr, an unknown phenomenon occurs, launching the headcrab into dimensions far away.
