Unable to resist his dark magic, she finds herself trapped by a spell that forces her to aid him, protect him, and heal him until he is strong once more, all while keeping his revival a secret from her friends. Unwilling to risk bringing her friends into the situation and endanger them, Fluttershy decides on a riskier tactic

If she could reform Discord, why not the Tyrant of the Crystal Empire. After all, with his spell keeping her from betraying his presence, it might be her only hope. Can she kill the Dark King with Kindness? Or will the ancient sorcerer once more stretch his shadow across Equestria?

Princess Celestia must be completely insane to think reforming the former King Sombra is going to work. Blueblood is all set to leave untill he learns of a possible reward for aiding in the reformation. Following the carrot dangling in front of him, Prince Blueblood the 57th sets his sights on the former Crystal Despot of the North!

This story came about, sometime the last year while I was still having my mental power outage, just based on one of the last lines in this story.

Shining Armor and his wife prepare for one of the most important (albeit stressful) nights on the Empire's calendar. Both of them have planed out every detail to make sure that this annul peace summit goes to according to plan. Because that every single tiny microscopic little thing has to be thought out, it, of course, leaves them some degree of stress and worry.

Especially for the prince as after his wife asked him to go into their bedroom to fetch her dress, he finds somepony on that bed. Not only does that said pony is there in hopes of seducing him, but it is the last pony on the planet that he's expecting.

Umbra. Little is known about that race, long ago entombed in the arctic ice. For millennia they had been dormant. Dead, as the few ponies who knew about them assumed.

But now ponies are disappearing from the Crystal Empire, all of them haunted by the same eerie dream. Twilight is tasked with researching the umbra to find an effective defense against their sinister magic, but her discoveries set into motion a chain of events that threatens much more than Equestria.

Long before the reign of Celestia and Luna, a beautiful young mare, by the name of "Fluttershy," was on her way to her new job as a teacher at a veterinarian school in Trotsylvania. She soon finds herself in the care of the Countess de Shimmer and persued by the brother of the Countess, who has been locked away in his own home.

Not long after, a gentlecolt, Dr. Van Helstallion, comes into town, hearing of strange deaths. It is then that Van Helstallion meets Fluttershy, immediately befriending her. Now, Dr. Van Helstallion must do whatever it takes to protect the young maiden, as well as the rest of Trotsylvania, from a demon that has been causing all the recent deaths... especially due to the fact that all the victims have been young mares...

It wasn't long after Sombra's defeat that he was found in the outskirts of the frozen north, regenerated from his dismembered horn, but too weak to do anything more than stay in hiding and hope to make a full recovery. Princess Celestia was swiftly alerted of his re-appearance, and the dethroned king was dragged away from the north to be kept prisoner in the Canterlot Castle.

After weeks of planning, the princess called Fluttershy to Canterlot and bestowed upon her the task of reforming yet another foe. If there was anypony who could have some influence on such a vile overlord, it was her.

Fluttershy, however, wasn't nearly as certain of herself. Discord was so much different; he was so much easier. Back then, she had the elements of harmony at her disposal. but now, living in the Canterlot Castle with not a fellow element for miles, King Sombra was an entirely different story.

This fic is a redo of the first fanfic I've ever posted on Fimfiction.

A new born foal causes an uproar in the Crystal Empire, when it is discovered that he bears the horn of King Sombra. Princess Cadence wants to raise the foal as her own, but Shining Armor is weary of the baby colt.

When Sombra, ex-ruler of the Crystal Empire, is discovered alive and well, Twilight has her hooves full keeping the tyrannical king in check. Instead of the original plan of throwing him in a dungeon or banishing him to Tartarus, Celestia decides to go with the plan that worked out well enough for Discord.

To reform Sombra.

Pinkie takes the job, and gets right to work in helping Sombra become a better pony. Will Sombra finally change from his old, wicked ways and reform? Or will he instead strangle the annoying, pink menace known as Pinkie Pie?

Politics are delicate. Any wrong move could spiral into something horrible. Celestia is no novice and knows her way around politicians from other countries. Yet now, when Equestria is slowly nearing a direct conflict with a bordering nation, Taurusia, home of the Minotaurs, she comes in contact with Sombra.

He reveals a great deal of information to her. How he faked his own death. How he influenced the battle against Tirek. How he became King of Tartarus. And now, after finally accomplishing his goal of ruling the forsaken realm of Tartarus, he comes by to request an alliance with Equestria.

All that Sombra truly wants is fame. Whether it be as a hero or a villain, he just wishes his position as King of Tartarus to be known. And so Celestia is given a choice. She can either make him an ally, somepony who could certainly come in handy given circumstances, or reject his offer and make him spread his name in infamy instead.

She makes the only choice she can. She only wishes it was the right one.

Celestia X Sombra fic

Will be heavily comedy with hints of dark elements early on. Later in the story it will be flip around and be mostly dark with some comedy.

This story is a sequel to Lingering Shadows

He broke her heart once already. Luna learned her lesson when Sombra last tried to manipulate her, and she wants nothing more than to forget about what happened and put it behind her.

Sombra cannot forget, nor does he want to. Regretting what happened between them, when the chance to make things up to Luna comes from some very unexpected sources, he takes the opportunity and wants to try to court her properly.

But once bitten, twice shy, as they say. Will the two ever find happiness with one another?

I have to offer a huge thanks once again to everyone who read the previous story, Lingering Shadows, and encouraged me to go ahead with my idea for a sequel. Apologies for the wait, but here you have it at last. I'm going to try to get on a regular update schedule of at least 1-2 chapters a month with this one.
