After a terrible storm sweeps through the Everfree, Fluttershy finds the weakened but still powerful King Sombra on her doorstep. Unable to resist his dark magic, she finds herself trapped by a spell that forces her to aid him, protect him, and heal him until he is strong once more, all while keeping his revival a secret from her friends. Unwilling to risk bringing her friends into the situation and endanger them, Fluttershy decides on a riskier tactic

If she could reform Discord, why not the Tyrant of the Crystal Empire. After all, with his spell keeping her from betraying his presence, it might be her only hope. Can she kill the Dark King with Kindness? Or will the ancient sorcerer once more stretch his shadow across Equestria?

Twilight Sparkle goes to Ponyville to prepare for the Summer Sun Celebration. There, she meets a wide variety of ponies: A hyperactive mare who picks apples for a living, a pompous unicorn who focuses more on controlling the weather than anything else, a hardworking seamstress, a loud and brass veterinarian, and a strange but surprisingly social pegasus party pony. But a dark mare ruins the whole party. Can she save the day with these ponies?

Carrot Cake wasn't too sure about this 'blind date' business, but with his love life staler than weeks old pastry, it couldn't hurt to try, could it? And with the whole point of a blind date being you didn't know the other pony, particularly their past, well, it gave him a better chance at love.

The School of Friendship finds itself in need of an instructor to get their new physical education and outdoor skills program off the ground. Twilight offers the position to Rainbow Dash. Who better to run the program than a natural athlete and Wonderbolt? Too bad Dash is already busy with her own classes and practice schedule. When asked if she has a suggestion in mind for the position, Rainbow Dash offers an unexpected name as an alternative.

On the morning of their first class, the students are understandably excited to find out which of their favorite professors was chosen to instruct them in the rigors of physical fitness and education. When the gym doors open, and their new instructor appears, it becomes immediately apparent their class will be anything but easy, or boring.

Barb spends most of her time around boys. Because of this, she’s considered more of a tomboy than a lady. Some ponies don’t like this kind of behavior from her, which upsets the baby dragon. After seeing the majestic dragons in the dragon migration, Barb sets out on a question to see what it’s like to be a true dragoness. Little does she know, she getting more than she bargained for.

Feather Bangs thought it would be nice to take a trip to Mount Eris where it was the home of the hippogriffs. During a hike, Feather accidentally fell into the sea and was saved by a female seapony. Since Feather thought the seapony was cute, he offered her a date in return of rescuing him. It wasn't until the night of the date when he finds out that the seapony who saved him was Princess Skystar, the daughter of Queen Novo.

Spike and Gabby have been dating for quite some time now, but this is the first time Spike has invited his girlfriend to spend Heart's Warming Eve with him and his family. Will Spike be able to survive the onslaught? Will Gabby achieve her secret goal?
