Out Of The Running really expands on The Running Of The Leaves... Add that with kirin beginning to mingle in Ponyville, Diamond Tiara wanting to run, a drought, and Discord, and you have a winning formula... Overall, I absolutely adored this story and I'm glad that it was entered in this contest.

Sapphire Shores is a changeling. She's always been a changeling, trained while still a nymph to take a newborn filly's place and grow into a leader of ponies, a tastemaker, a herald to undermine Princess Celestia and pave the way for Queen Chrysalis's eventual conquest.

This has had something of an effect on her life and career.

After the events in 'Rot', Twilight Sparkle has finally come to terms with her new self. Can she control her new powers? Can she ever have anything close to a 'normal' life again? And what happens when Discord's past mistakes come home to pass judgement on the 'new' Princess of Friendship?

When Twilight needs a pardon, Celestia is there to provide. When Twilight doesn’t need one, Celestia still provides.

The name's Diane, Private Eye. I'm the stickiest gumshoe in all of Manehattan, with an addiction to danger (and chocolate). Hot on the trail of a missing foal, a feeling deep in my twitchy-tail tells me I'm about to crack the case wide open. Unfortunately, I may need the help of my weirdo "friends" to do it... but who knows, maybe I'll change my mind about friendship after an epic character arc.

Oops. Sorry for breaking the fourth wall there, but you can blame Mom for that one. After all, I'm just a half-bit mimeo of the #horsefamous Bearer of Laughter.

But in Roseluck’s garden, lies a beacon of hope in this desolate land.

In her garden grows a lone rose bush.

This story is set in an AU similar to 19th century England. Think Sherlock Holmes.

At long last, Ponyville has its very own court of law.

Now it is up to The Honorable Judge Lady Justice to guide the citizens of Ponyville through their trials and tribulations. She's more than happy to get started, but her first case is a doozy! Flim and Flam versus Mistmane in a copyright dispute around the mare's own likeness. Can our intrepid heroine maintain her sanity and deliver justice?
