A story about war, based around a pony equivalent of the Second World War.

The world of Equestria is at war. Germaney, led by the Neighzi Party, has allied with Yak Yakistan, and the two countries are waging war across the entirety of the planet, using recent technological innovations to make their assault unstoppable. Equestria is one of the few countries with similar technology actively battling to keep them from successfully claiming any more countries as part of their empire. Will Equestria manage to stop the Germane-Yak alliance from putting the rest of the world inside of their empire? And what are the effects of this war on the common soldier, and common citizen?

Just a note, I'm thinking about possibly continuing the story with another chapter or two, or with an epilogue of some sort. Probably the epilogue. Meh, you probably don't care either way.

Note number two: I don't actually think the profanity tag is needed, but I'm sure I put some profanity in there somewhere. So I'm keeping it just in case.

During the episodes Cutie ReMark part one and two, Twilight goes after Starlight in a race to save the timeline in Equestria. Expect Twilight failed and Starlight left her in the middle of a war against the Crystal Empire. Since she can't reveal herself to her friends and family, or go back to her timeline, she becomes a vigilante to help out in the war.

The School of Friendship has new Teacher Assistants!

The Cutie Mark Crusaders have been welcomed into staff on a probationary basis in order to assist their sisters (and Rainbow Dash) with their classes. Today just happens to be the day for the School Trip to Canterlot Castle for a certain group.

When things go wrong and our characters are flung into the Void and come out in one of many worlds at war, what kind of challenges will they have to face? And if they survive... what will they bring back with them to Equestria?

As a second-year primary school student, Rarity is still trying to figure out the whole ‘life’ thing. Being assigned to keep a diary for an entire moon should give her a quiet place to work out her thoughts. But the world has other plans, and circumstances will force her to temporarily team up with Applejack in order to take on the most fearsome foe imaginable. Something neither could ever hope to defeat alone.

Where Equestria was set to follow a familiar path of harmony and friendship, the path is waylaid by the appearance of a creature out of myth, bearing grave tidings.

On Earth at the dawn of the third millennium, a war that should have never been rages between humanity and the ones who would seek to perfect it.

For down the road less travelled, Equestria is Empire, a dark mirror of what it once was and should be.

Lyra Heartstrings, musician and dreamer, previously content to spend her life in the shadow of Princesses or their faithful students, must now decide the role she’ll play in this new reality. But within the threads that connect us all, just as even Princess Celestia can have the humblest desires, the smallest person may change the future.

A what if scenario in which the world of My little Pony was far more like our own.

Nightmare Moon returns, setting in motion a chain of catastrophic consequences that are felt by not only every pony, but the entire world.
Each Pony will have to go on a journey of survival, sacrifice and pain as they try to fight for side that they believe will ensure the world has the brightest possible future. Surrounded by the brutal realities of war and a world without friendship, only courage and determination will get them through this storm.

Once friends will be pit up against each other as sides are chosen , just this time, who the villain and evil is in the world ins't so clear anymore.

The battle for Equestria begins now.

Two worlds, two peoples, two varying ways of life. For Equestria and its people, peace has been a staple of life for generations under the watchful eyes of their alicorn protectors. Resources and necessities for life are abundant, and the few times it has been threatened by external foes have ended in an Equestrian victory.

For mankind however, life is a brutal battle for survival in the war-torn hellscape of nuclear devastation. Violence and survival have been a mainstay for the last three decades, and only recently has a coalition tried to reestablish civilization. But the Earth is dying, and this last bastion of humanity only number around 50,000. For man, doom seems inevitable.

One day, two men accidentally discover something that will change the fates of both worlds forever. One man will discover Equestria and its prosperity, coming into contact with the very best Equestria has to offer. He will be shown kindness, and in turn, he will teach them understanding.

Regardless, the rest of Equestria will come to fear what they do not understand and after a tragedy costs humanity's good will, mankind will be left no choice but to invade in the name of survival. A sad tale, but one that history has repeated on numerous occasions. In the end, it will be up to a handful of individuals on both sides to find a solution and bring an end to the conflict. Will these two worlds come to terms and learn to coexist, or will one species be eradicated by the other?

Equestria has recently joined NATO. There are a lot of countries and terrorist organizations unhappy about it, but one group sees opportunity.

Rainbow, the secretive NATO anti-terrorist task force, is interested in recruiting some new talent. Princess Celestia sends them six of her best.

It has been many years since the war started...

Chrysalis and her armies rolled over our defenses, overwhelming our forces with sheer numbers. We fought a fighting retreat, always on the run from the swarm. We thought it would be over, that this would be the end of Equestria, and the end of Harmony...

But it was not so. We gathered our strength and held our ground, at last. Desperately our soldiers fought on and held the swarm off. Ponies took up arms to bolster our ranks or grabbed a tool to aid the war industry.

And now, after all these years, we remain in a stalemate. The Changelings adopted their own variant of total warfare. They launch raids on defensive positions at night, send bomber squadrons to destroy civilian centers all across Equestria and sink civilian cruisers out on the sea.

The war drags on, and my ponies grow tired of grieving the loss of their homes and loved ones. It is time for Equestria to commit to this war and leave behind our outdated principles of pacifism and harmony.

This war has brought upon us a new age. And with it, a new Equestria must rise!
