It has been six months since Princess Luna's return to Equestria, however everything is still so new to her. Equestria is not as it once was, and so much seem new and strange. From the words, to the customs, and even the way they conduct their ruling.

Luna felt lonely for a long time, that is until she discovered the joys of gaming. She even found a new friend, just one small problem, he is human, and not from their dimension. Well, it would not be a problem, not if Luna would not have used a certain spell to drag her newest friend through their online game and into Equestria.

Turns out dragging a human through a game and landing him in Equestria has some unforeseen consequences... Other than the fact he is a pony now...

Everything seemed to be normal for our friend Valiant, that is until a star is on the cosp of going supernova. His home world is now on the threshold of its demise. Leaving his parents with a tearful goodbye, and watched his world be destroyed. His destination, Equestria. Will he be able adapt to his new life? Will he make friends, possibly fall in love, or will he be alone? How will the ponies of Equestria react to his arrival? Will they be welcoming or hostile?

Once he does arrive, there will be troubling times ahead of him. Not only does he not know how they'll greet him, but he will also have to come to terms of what happened to his home world, his parents. His nightmares will be haunted by the screams of the ones who knew they won't survive for long. Who will come to his time of need?

Sometimes friends come in all shapes and sizes, and can come from the most of unlikely of places. but having friends from parallel worlds, well that's diffidently a new one. so what would happen when a Pokémon trainer on the way of winning a Pokémon league, gets teleported to Equestria, well I can tell you that things get weird, funny, and an adventure for the trainer to find his way home while helping his new friends deal with an invading wave of darkness and hunger.

now to give just a little context for you my readers, this fic takes place roughly a month or so after the start of Season 1 of MLP: FiM, but it will deviate in having story elements tweaked.

another bit of info I wish to give you is that while the Pokémon do have their 4 usual moves, in this fic, they will have some normal type moves for basic attacks. so something akin to Pokken Tournament. also Matt, the trainer will also take part in battles and fights (which honestly all trainers should have some level of skill in)

Ability: Solid Rock – reduces damage from super-effective attacks.
Mega Ability: Sheer Force – removes added effects to increase move damage.

Lycanroc (the Wolf Pokémon/Midnight - Female)
Type: Rock.
Ability: No Guard – Ensures attacks by or against the Pokémon land.
Moves: Rock Slide/Counter/Payback/Play Rough.

Mienshao (the Martial Arts Pokémon - Female)
Type: Fighting.
Ability: Inner Focus – the Pokémon is protected from flinching.
Moves: Detect/Bounce/Blaze Kick/Force Palm.

Kingdra (the Dragon Pokémon - Male)
Type: Water/Dragon.
Ability: Sniper – powers up moves if they become critical hits.
Moves: Smokescreen/Hydro Pump/Twister/Icy Wind.

Probopass (the Compass Pokémon - Male)

Ability: Sturdy – it cannot be knocked out with one hit.

But he was wrong when he stumbled upon a crumbling old castle in the center of the forest, and the sweet voices in his head told him otherwise, now he is free, or so he thinks. 10 years later, he still lives in the same forest, in the same castle ruins, but with a new friend, and new companions that instead of trying to eat him, they protect him, a mystery he stopped trying to solve for 5 years, until when a certain young group of fillies get lost in his forest, and a group of ponies and their young dragon follow after them, Nightshade knows everything about that forest, he knows who enters and leaves his sanctum, but he doesn't know how much the outside world has changed, for the better and for the worst, his life will change, with vengeance and tears. His heart has already been turned to stone ever since his banishment, but can they heal his shattered heart, or will they end up fueling the fire of retribution without knowing it?
