//------------------------------// // Chapter 5: A Nice Peaceful Day // Story: Pokémon Journey - A Trainer & His Adventure in Equestria // by NinjaMare //------------------------------// It’s been roughly a few days since Matt has been in this town of small colorful unknown Pokémon, and for those few days things have been going fairly well. The Pokémon that he was staying with for those two days, who he has been calling Shyly because most times it interacts with him, it’s been a bit nervous and skittish before being more friendly. During his time with Shyly Matt has discovered that the Pokémon was female, with her genitals being mostly in full view whenever she stands in front of the young man. Shyly has also been a surprisingly sweet hostess, surprising the trainer by her cooking food, feeding the other Pokémon that live in the hill-cottage with her. Aside from his hostess, Matt has had limited interaction with the other Pokémon, but he seemed to have gathered just enough information on who is who. Especially Shyly’s friends. Matt has also learned that the majority of the Pokémon that either visit him, he sees when walking about the town with Shyly. But to the young man these Pokémon, IF they really were Pokémon, seem to be more than they appear. The one that has been coming by to visit him at the cottage more was the purple horned one he’s called Star, because of the star marking on her haunches, has shown to be not just any normal Pokémon. Every time she came by she would spend time with Shyly, drink tea and having snacks no less, then spend a lot of time to watch Matt. And scribble away on sheets of paper with a feathered quill, it was as if she was studying him, and it was kind of making Matt feel a little uncomfortable. One Pokémon that Matt has started to gain a fondness for was the very hyper energetic bouncy pink one, who the trainer has aptly named Sugar because it seemed like she’s always on a sugar high. Sugar hasn’t been around to visit as often as Star, but whenever Matt has gone into town, the pink equine always seem to appear out of nowhere and just be a delightful sweetheart. She’s just as affectionate as Ninetales. Another one of the Pokémon that Matt has been growing close to, mostly because the Pokémon herself seems to fascinated by him was one he calls Crystal. Now Crystal was another Pokémon like Star, although she was pure white with a royal blue mane and tail that’s clearly been styled, but she clearly acted like she was top of the pack. And the moment that she saw Matt she wouldn’t leave him alone! the Pokémon kept circling him, eyeing him up and down, and keeps using her psychic powers to tug at his clothes, even attempting on taking said clothes off him on their first encounter. There was another Pokémon that Matt has seen more of than others, and it was the orange ‘standard’ species with a cowboy hat plopped on her head. Matt has started calling her simply Rodeo. Now this one Pokémon seems to be on the fence whenever Matt meets her, as in she neither seems excited or nervous around him. Like she doesn’t really care whether or not the trainer was around or not. So aside from Shyley, Sugar, Star, Crystal, and Rodeo are the only Pokémon of the town that he’s had most contact with. Other of the community still tend to give the young man space, while occasionally braving to trot up to him and act friendly. Although there is one that seems to be more cautious than the others. the blue winged one that he and Probopass, which Matt has given the name Spite to, as it always keeps its eyes on him, narrowed and looking at him with a suspicious glare. Matt is unsure if Spite is male or female, as it always keeps its distance and never comes around him. but so long as Spite doesn’t try and pick a fight, Matt was fine with her long casted stares, and snorts and unfriendly knickers. But even after getting to know a few of the equine Pokémon, Matt was still unsure on where he was. Still after a few days there were no other signs of humans around, or if there actually were any. He has thought about leaving the town and just take a chance to explore and see if he could find someone, but considering he is clearly in an unknown region with who knows what kind of dangerous are out there, Matt decided to play it patiently and carefully. Until he knows what Region he’s in, and get a layout of the Region itself, Matt will remain at Shyly’s cottage. But that still leaves him with one problem, how is he going to figure out anything if he can’t read whatever these Pokémon’s language is. The few books he’s seen, both at the old ruins and in Shyly’s cottage, the books were written in gibberish so even if Matt finds a map of this Region, he’d be unable to read or use it effectively. Today Matt was just wandering around the town of small equine Pokémon, alone this time and was mostly just taking in the scenery, and during his meanderings Matt managed to make his way into what looks like a park. Looking around the area the trainer could see quite a lot of Pokémon running around. Some groups were playing with each other, some seem to be taking it easy and relax, all in all the scenery was quite a peaceful one. “It sure is peaceful here.” Matt says as he continues to walk through the park, causing some of the Pokémon to look at him and give him varying degrees of friendlies and timidness. But the ones that seem to be the most eager to see him were the really small Pokémon, in fact all of them started to gather around him and just started to poke him, circle him, some of the winged ones even flew up and started to pet his head. one even landed on his shoulder and tried to lift his right arm. “Guess you little guys have never seen a human like me before huh.” Matt said as reached up to the Pokémon playing with his arm, and started petting it on the head. But while he was doing so, one of the little ones was fiddling around with his Pokéballs, and accidently knocked one off. Matt tried to catch the wayward ball, causing the little ones around him to scramble away, however he was unable to catch the ball before it enlarged itself and let out the Pokémon within. With a pop and a flash of light the trainers Alolan Ninetales now stood a foot from the trainer, who looked towards Matt yipped happily and made her way up to him and started to nuzzle into him, while the trainer picks the Pokéball up. “Hey there girl.” Matt says as he knelt down, and started to pet the Fox Pokémon’s checks. But as the trainer was dotting on his Pokémon, Matt noted that the little Pokémon quickly gathered around Ninetales, and started to look the Pokémon over. Which the ice type found amusing and actually started to play with the little ones, running around being chased or being the one chasing the little ones. “Well they seem to be getting along pretty well.” Matt said before feeling the other Pokéballs on his belt wobble, and when he looked down he found a few of the little ones trying to un-latch the balls from his belt. “You guys wanna see my other Pokémon?” the little ones didn’t really respond to Matt’s question, and just continued to try and un-latch the other balls. Matt gave a small chuckle before standing up and reaching towards his belt, and one by one let his team of Pokémon out of their balls. Each of the Pokémon took a moment reorient themselves, before taking notice of the small Pokémon gather around them and started to check them out. Both Camerupt and Kingdra seemed to like the attention, and the two of them started to play around in the park with the little ones. Lycanroc didn’t seem to like getting a lot of attention, and scampered over to where Matt was standing, then used him as a shield to keep the little ones between her and them. Matt just found this amusing, as Lycanroc is not a really sociable Pokémon. Turning back to the rest of his team the trainer found the little Pokémon using Probopass as an obstacle course, climbing over it and using its miniature heads as stepping stones to reach the top of its head, then there was Mienshao who appeared to be playing tag with the little ones. With the small Pokémon failing to even catching the Martial Arts Pokémon, at least the ones without wings are. But even the winged ones were having trouble of catching Mienshao. “It looks like everyone is getting along.” Matt said before turning to look behind him, where Lycanroc was still sticking by his side, and noting that the bigger pokemon were just watching from a distance. All of them having mixed expression of curiosity, worry, and uncertainty. “At least most are.” The trainer remarked before petting Lycanroc on the head. the young man then walked a few feet towards a tree, and sat down with his Wolf Pokémon and about five of the little ones, and sat down in the shade of the tree and just watched the herd of small Pokémon and his team play. ~~~~~ Today Apple Bloom and her two friends, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo, were venturing around Ponyville trying to come up with a new way to get their cutie marks. Ever since the trio of fillies became friends they’ve spent nearly all their time trying to figure out how to get there marks, and this quest for a cutie mark has ended up getting the three into some sticky situations. And even crippling failures. But these fillies were undeterred, they’d never give up in trying everything to get their marks. Although today the trio was having some difficulties coming up with a good plan this time around. “Well I’m stumped. I don’t know what else we could try.” Sweetie Belle lamented as she trotted in between her two friends. “How about we try getting our cutie marks at the Spa!” Scootaloo proposed as she trotted ahead of her two friends in excitement. “We could be massagers, or even ugh, we could—” “Scootaloo I don’t think we’re spa pony material.” Apple Bloom said to her excitable pegasus friend. “Besides, I don’t think Aloe and Lotus will let us in.” “Yeah after that whole incident at Phill’s vegetable stall no pony is going to hire us to see if we can get our cutie marks.” The earth pony says to her friend who puffed her cheeks a little bit. “I said I was sorry. Not my fault that his cabbages got turned into burning balls of fire.” “Scootaloo you tried to cook the cabbages like they were popcorn, and ended up causing the whole wagon to explode and nearly toasted Burnt Oak and Miss. Honey Bee’s stalls, and supplies with those flaming cabbages.” Sweetie Belle added as she recollects about said flaming balls of leafy greens as they went everywhere. The three fillies continued to go back and forth about the incident at the vegetable stall, and whether or not it was indeed Scootaloo’s fault for the barrage of flaming cabbages, the trio ceased their debate when they heard lots of laughter coming from the park. Curious as to what was going on the fillies trotted to the park, and upon entering the area they found the source of all of the laughing. Apple Bloom and the others found the majority of their classmates playing with some strange looking animals, each one greatly different from the other. “Where in the world did these things come from?” Scootaloo asked as she and her friends got closer to their classmates and the strange animals. “I don’t know.” Sweetie Belle said before spotting their friend Twist. “Hey Twist!” the red maned filly skid to a stop and looked over towards Sweetie Belle and her friends. “Hey, you guys come on and play with us!” the speckled filly lisped as she beckoned the crusaders to come over and play. “But Twist what’s going on here? Where did these animals come from?” Apple Bloom asked as she looked over to probably the strangest thing in the park, a large stone face. “They all came from that thing over there.” Apple Bloom and the other two fillies looked over to where Twist was pointing, and all three fillies balked at what they saw. sitting under a tree with what looked like a wolf laying next to it, and having a few of their own classmates sitting around it, was a big, thing. the fillies weren’t really sure how to describe the thing they were looking at, the only thing they can not about it is that it’s completely covered in clothes, has a short black mane, and just looked so strange. But the fillies quickly got over their confusion, and were over taken by their foalish curiosity and actually approached their fellow classmates, and the more playful animals joining in on the fun.
