"Always expect the unexpected in life, after all, life is unpredictable." Jeff Manns, a 20 year-old high school graduate, has finally moved out of his parents home. Jeff's life couldn't be better, he has a job, he's living on his own, the whole world before him, and he has... six magical miniature fillies? It started with one: one little pony that decided to crawl out of my monitor. Now I'm stuck with a load of tiny ponies. Things could be worse though they're entertaining to say the least. They tend to break stuff when left on their own though...but they're all rather well mannered besides that.

Note: I'm tired of being original, cute is better anyways.

So, there's this one universe, filled with rainbows and sunshine and ponies. You know that one, right? Well, about two dimensions to the left was this other universe with just about the same stuff, plus a few other things. One of those few other things being me, and another being a pony me. And no, we didn't screw... much.

(All of those downvotes are from before the rewrite. And it truly was awful. Trust me when I say it's much better now.)

I found this story to be kinda choppy so I'm going to do it again, a scene inspired by my dream in A changeling's travels

Starry Sky was born in a facility known as Pasture Hills. The place where she grew up most of her life. Day after day, she watched as her human masters came and went. Choosing from the various groups of ponies they would want to take with them.

However, unlike most ponies, Sky was different you could say. She wasn't a one sided like the others, she knew what it was truly like to feel sad or happy. She knew how to play all by herself or when to tell what was right from wrong.

So if that's the case how come some of the humans look at her differently, or treat her poorly?

Could it be it was because she was intelligent?

The story genre was changed to T for teen because of moments of explicit details that could possibly leave others uncomfortable.

Celestia may be going crazy...

This story is a sequel to MLA: Perihelion

It's been a handful of years since Twilight came into her own as a Princess of Equestria, a few years spent in peace and harmony without so much as an angry spirit or clandestine invasion to take away from the tranquility of Equestrian life. Unprecedented developments in the technological and thaumaturgical sciences seem to be preparation for something, though nopony realizes what that something might be.

Nopony except the Princesses, who have not failed to see the signs of impending disaster that began with the mass kidnappings just following the Summer Sun Celebration. When all their preparations are turned upside down, can an alliance with the mysterious Precursors turn the tides of the most devastating war in Equestrian history, while there is still anything left to save? Enemies and allies appear in the most unlikely of places, and friendship with a dying elder race can be more dangerous than an invasion of Dragons and Changelings. What is a pony willing to give in defense of harmony? What are they willing to sacrifice?

This story now has a companion piece, The Sunset Campaign! This story is designed to bring Harmony Defended more into line with the three-story version of My Little Apprentice. If you read Apogee and Perihelion, you may want to read that as well!

This story was written prior to season five, and as such any events which transpire therein may or may not be treated as canonical. All events up to and including "Twilight's Kingdom" are treated as having occurred, however.
