The most wanted villain in recent memory, having been captured by Starlight Glimmer, has been requested by Cadence to be put up for redemption.

The catch?

Chrysalis has to choose a husband from a list the Princess of Love has crafted after three days and two (mostly) sleepless nights of coffee fueled discussion. Energy drinks were consumed. Donuts suffered inglorious fates. Prince Blueblood was put in charge while the sisters delt with lending a hoof in deciding the fallen changeling queen's fate.

Her other choices?

Celestia wants her turned to stone.

Luna wants to send her to Tartarus.

Stone, Tartarus, or marriage. Those are her choices.

Cadence won't let her choose the first two.

Queen Chrysalis, aka "Public Enemy Number One", is a dying mare. It has often been said that "In the most dire circumstances, the best solution will be discovered., and in her current situation she has come up with a plan that will not only alter Equestria's and the changeling race's paths, but the destiny for the Elements of Harmony.

This is set in an alternative timeline after the defeat of Tirek but before Thorax came into the picture and where the failed plan at the wedding cost Chrysalis more than anypony realized.

Two hundred years after a war that broke the world, a squad of soldiers travels across a blasted and hostile land on a mission for the future of Equestria. But they encounter a new kind of foe in the Wasteland that could endanger that very future.

Three years before the predicted return of Nightmare Moon. A young Princess Mi Amore Cadenza hears about the tale of the Changelings. She feels a kinship to this race that subsists on love, and convinces Celestia to allow her to go alone in a mission to try to learn about them and normalize their relationship with Equestria.
Soon, she meets Queen Chrysalis, and the bonds between those two will determine whether the mission is sucessful or not.

Three years have passed since the War of the Wedding, when an invasion force assaulted Canterlot and revealed Changelings to the world. Fear, driven into the hearts of ponies, has given them a new boogeymare to hunt, it would seem.

To Vanessa and her family, it's life as usual one grey and gloomy Canterlot morning, though not for long...

A parent would do anything for their children’s happiness and to keep them safe, even if it was painful for them. Queen Chrysalis knows this more than anyone when she had no other choice than to send her only daughter away, and it still hurts to this day. However, after almost two decades of separation, a royal wedding will bring them together at long last. But how will the young mare take this? Will she accept her heritage and return to her mother, or will she shun her? Only time will tell…

Changelings and ponies had always been natural enemies of each other, especially with the crystal ponies when they were around. Why wouldn't they be? Changelings were like parasites, feeding off the love that ponies gave off and driving them to illness.

However, Changelings had begun to decline. What started out with as seven hives have diminished down into three, all of which had gone into hiding so well that most ponies didn't know what changelings even were. Even Celestia had not seen one for quite a while, a long feat for an immortal pony.

Until she found a nymph. A new Changeling Queen.

Unable to find it within herself to abandon the changeling, Celestia ends up taking the nymph back to Canterlot under guise as Twilight Sparkle. The plan was simple; find the hive that Twilight belonged to and return her back to be raised with her race.

Of course, despite everything she learned through her long life, she had forgotten that things were never that simple.

For starters, she did not anticipate herself to grow fond of Twilight as time began to pass, or to beam in happiness when Twilight began to refer to her as mom.

With Chrysalis in her endless sleep, Twilight is left to carry the burden of the Hive. Something she does magnificently.
First and foremost is making sure her hive can survive. Then, it's reestablishing peace with Equestria. And lastly, reversing the curse even those satiated with love in their degenerated state.
Nobody said it was going to be easy.

Shadow is a genetically engineered xenomorph who lost everything. His hive was destroyed and he was tricked into going into trap that was to get him off the ship he stowed away on. He crash lands on an unknown world and sees an opportunity to finally live without the worry of WY. When he discovers a small cottage and discovers that there isn't a human living in it but a talking pony, his life flips upside down. These creatures treat him nicer than the humans and he vows to not let WY step foot on this planet. He will start his own hive and hope to find a way to have his species strive once more. Will he succeed or will he be captured and experimented on?

Chrysalis is a new Queen who has lost her hive. She leaves the hive and runs into a young Luna and her father and ends up being adopted into Celestia and Luna's family.
