After losing his right arm and eye, Crank Shaft, a brilliant inventor and his parents move to Ponyville to get away from the busy city of Manehattan. His folks enroll him in the local high school in an attempt to bring back some normalcy into the teenager's life. It was only natural that introspection would come in the wake of something as monumental as a royal wedding. With the festivities of Shining Armor's betrothal long since past, Twilight has come to realize that there exists a tremendous gap in her studies of friendship, that being that she doesn't really have any stallion friends. That's likely because pursuing platonic relations with the opposite gender is rather difficult when there's a growing desire in her heart for something deeper than her friends can provide.

After an afternoon of disturbed study time and unexpected dental catastrophe, the last thing Twilight would have expected was for opportunity to come knocking in the form of a quiet stallion reading in her library. Enraptured by the chance to expand her education, Twilight bumbles into the newcomer's life without the faintest notion of the depth of the pony's loss. Though her faith in friendship is strong, it will take more than her magic to undo the scars of his past, and keep a heart once filled with wonder from succumbing to the power of doubt.

Set after the events of the season three pilot and before Twilight is crowned princess.

After finding a book about a certain daring pegasus who had a thirst for adventure, Tak dreams of having his own adventures. Armed with his favorite spear, a makeshift bag and a determined soul, he abandons his clan and ventures forth into the unknown.

However, when he runs into a mischievous orange filly, a motherly pegasus and their friends, he soon finds himself caught up in something far bigger than he could ever imagine.

Scar the gnoll and the newly-formed pony squad arrive in the Griffon Kingdoms, eager to hunt the hated Izelim from their hiding places but unaware of what sinister plans lie hidden in the dark.

While the ponies and griffons focus on the present and what the future may bring, the gnoll finds himself faced with his own past as their journey takes them closer and closer to his old, forgotten home.

This is the second part of The Reader. Reading the first part is not necessary, but is highly recommended.

Myself and five other acquaintances with varying degrees of friendship appeared here in Equestria quite some time ago, having all been transformed into Pokemon for some hereto unknown reason. The process of our reuniting was difficult, and we didn't get a happy ending, but we went our separate ways as friends brought together through extenuating circumstances.

Now, after being woken up from my oh-so comfortable hibernation by one of Princess Celestia's messengers, I find out that there's new, terrifying creatures terrorizing Equestria and even some of the lands beyond. By some of their descriptions, I have an inkling of what they might be.

Guess who's put in charge of cleaning up the mess.

Time to get the gang back together again.
