Lysander is the last remaining of the Ascended, an immortal group of angelic beings sworn to guard the eternal Flame of Life, the core of life, death and rebirth through all of existence.
As a member of the Caretakers, Lysander had spent his Ascended life healing and rejuvenating the souls of the deceased from across the Planes. Now, following a Fiendish invasion of Elysium, home plane of the Ascended, the former Caretaker finds himself in a very different world.

At first sight this world may seem a paradise, but when the Fiends of the Lower Planes are left to their own devices without Ascended supervision; who can really tell how long it will stay pure and innocent?

Caught in the midst of a riot, "you" are somehow caught and ripped from reality. You wake up in a strange land that really seems like it's straight out of a kid's cartoon with...talking...horses?
