Twilight Sparkle, younger sister of Princess Celestia's personal student, Shining Armor, grew up listening to her brother's bygone dreams of joining the elite of the elite: The Royal Guard.

Now, fresh out of the Academy, this young mare is ready to prove herself equal to the deeds of the great soldiers she read about as a filly. Too bad the princess she ends up protecting isn't Celestia.

Twilight Sparkle has too much magic, and it will take her decades to learn to control it. Her spectacular loss of control during her entrance exam only proves that fact. She is a danger to herself and others.

After Sunset Shimmer’s disappearance, Princess Celestia needs a new student to bear The Element of Magic to defeat Nightmare Moon. With all of Equestria at stake, Twilight Sparkle…is not the pony she needs.

Princess Celestia seals Twilight Sparkle’s magic with the distant promise of one day teaching her.

But there are two diarchs of Equestria. Amidst a lucid dream, an offer is made.

After an incident at a dance club in Ponyville, Twilight is thrown out for good. To her horror, she finds out that her dancing is the cause.

Jason, an orphan, sits around, dreaming of having a family. He mostly wants to do Christmas. But, his dreams finally come true! And, he gets adopted by a princess! And three cute sisters, who could literally make you faint with their cuteness. Life couldn't be better for Jason!
Wrong.
He actually had no say in the matter. The next thing Jason knew, he was taken to another world, ruled by ponies! He also had no say in the matter of his name. They changed it to Harmony. If she wasn't the ruler of the land (and not to mention they had phones... and CPS) he would call the Child Protection Agency and have her locked up.
... If they had it...

After defeating Tirek, and life almost returning to normal. Princess Twilight has some questions to ask her former mentor some questions about the battle.

This is not meant to be an overarching storyline. There will be no conflict, no resolution. It is simply a discussion between two ponies that share a deep and comfortable familial love for each other borne on spending much time together. The story is meant to share a thought I had about why Twilight and Tirek were so evenly matched. The following story just follows their time together in a natural way, the way it would play out in the real world.

Long ago before the two royal sisters were born, an icy ruler demanded for her own kingdom in Equestria.
Oueen Galaxia and King Cosmos did not approve for they were worried the kingdoms icy ponies might destroy the crops and kill the warmth. The frozen queen, Frigid Frost, was annoyed and tried to reason with them but without success. Frigid Frost left and was never seen again.

Years later the queen heard of Queen Galaxia and King Cosmos's death. She then planned to make her kingdom only to have her dreams shattered after hearing of their daughters that were still alive.
Frigid Frost confronted the two princesses and demanded for her kingdom and this time wouldn't take no for an answer. She still got a no though, Frigid Frost was very very annoyed and made a small but deathly cold blizzard. The frosty queen then became the horrid Frightmare Frost and shot an icy blast at the sun princess but Luna hopped in front of her to shield her sister and was struck by the evil. Frightmare Frost had caused a part of Luna's corruption that day.

Princess Celestia then sent the evil mare to the darkest mountains and banished her.
Now years have passed since the defeat of Tirek and they say that Frightmare Frost will soon return. Is this true? Will she really cause the death of many innocent ponies?

Princess Celestia, tired of the constant pressure that ruling a nation puts on her, decides to take a day off and let Luna take her responsibilities for a day, something the younger alicorn is more than happy to do. She disguises herself as a pink maned pegasus pony named Sunny Skies and decides to go walking around Canterlot without any supervision. Unfortunately for her, not all parts of Canterlot are as safe as the palace, and she finds herself at the wrong end of a gang of muggers, who decide to kidnap her for a ransom when they see how much money she has on her.

Luna freaks out.

Celestia thinks it's hilarious.
