This story is the sister story to Lover of the Moon, but both can be read independently of the other.

It doesn't take Rainbow Dash long after her promotion to the upper Rainbow Factory to figure out just how tough the work really is. There's a lot to learn about weather manufacturing, a lot to learn about the culture of where she works, and a lot to learn about herself in the process. Her most important lesson, however, is the value of songs and those who sing them.

When Twilight introduces somepony she thinks will be a good match for her, Starlight is unsure whether she and her teammate will be good friends.

However, Starlight soon discovers that broken snowballs have the power of creating something new and magical.

Twilight and Spike, siblings in all but blood, go adventuring together in Canterlot. They don't find what they are looking for, but they stumble onto something better.

Written in a universe where Spike acts more mature, and Twilight is slightly more adventurous. Both are young adults, though Spike is still considered a juvenile because 'dragon years'.

Twilight Sparkle was banished from Equestria a long time ago for a crime she didn't commit. The rest of the Mane 6 have been searching for her to tell her that she can return. When they do find Twilight, they realize that the trials of surviving outside Equestria have changed their old friend. Not all the changes are necessarily good.

As they return to Equestria, they must figure out who is opposing them. Shadows lurk in every corner, enemies watching for a single misstep. Not to mention, Twilight's shadows are creeping up on her. But even if they do manage to face the trials and troubles, do they have what it takes to face what awaits them back home?
