This story is a sequel to Ace Combat: The Changeling War

During the war with the Changelings, the Crystal Empire, with the help of Equestria hires a mercenary air group led by Sunset Shimmer to launch clandestine bombing missions from their base at the Griffon Empire's largest air base to within the Changeling Kingdom. Something the exiled Crystal Empire is unable to do during the war, and something their ally Equestria can't do. The group dubbed themselves "Wolfpack". The risks are great, but the reward is handsome.
Flush with success from that war, the group continues on, providing their services to any country that needs their help.

This is a short sequel to my Ace Combat: The Changeling War fanfic. To get the full story you'll have to read the last 2 bonus chapters of that fanfic. This time the Ace Combat references will be lighter, and some Area 88 ones will be thrown in.

Arc 1: The First Day

Author's Note: Hey guys! This is my first story, so constructive criticism is more than welcome. I'll take this moment to say that I own nothing but my main character, the plot, and a few surprises which will appear later. All other characters and linked music are NOT mine. A word on music. At times I might offer two links to a song. The first is the OFFICIAL version, the second is the closest approximation to how I feel it is sung in the story. Just warning you, because I know some people hate covers. This story is rated teen for occasional language, implied sex, and gruesome imagery (mostly late in the story and in flashbacks). Well here we go. I finally decided to launch my next (and final for me) installment of my fanfic series. My OC Maverick returns to lead his Crystal Empire Air Force squadron against the forces of Queen Chrysalis.

This one will pretty much be a ponified version of Ace Combat 6, with a bit of other stuff thrown in (so if you've played AC 6, you already know most of what will happen). I don't know how long it will take to finish it. I'm having some medical problems that are keeping me from running at a hundred percent, so it may take quite some time.

For the second time Equestria has been torn apart by war between the New Lunar Republic and Solar Empire. Only this time both sides have to contend with another entity: the Legion of Discord, who started an invasion of both side's territories.
One squadron of the New Lunar Republic Air Force; the 13th Tactical Fighter or "Lunar" squadron, finds itself involved in many of the game changing events of the war. Will Lunar squadron help end the war, or will Discord crush both sides and plunge Equestria, and the rest of the world into chaos?

Fourteen years have passed since the Changelings were thrown from Equestria and chased from its borders. In order to preserve a brighter future from further threats, the nation of Gryphnia constructed a super weapon to prevent any further transgressions from the hives. However, the late King Sharpclaw has been rattling his saber, holding "Sky Breaker" above the heads of the others. After tense planning, the leaders of AEGIS (Allied Equis Guard of Independent States), launch an attack to destroy it.

It fails.

Now the continent of Equis is thrust into another destructive war. AEGIS is on the run after a massive blow to their air power. Now Rhapsody, a young pegasus Lieutenant, and the flight lead of Ghost Wing, must lead her comrades to victory before the Gryphons finish the job and take the continent as their own.

This is the first story I've uploaded to fimfiction that I've been working on for over a year. I'll accept any criticism, I just ask for politeness. Anyone who can recommend a good proof-reader is also welcome!
