Featherweight's been working as a waiter at a well-known restaurant in Ponyville for three years, and has been made responsible for training new employees. But when Diamond Tiara comes in looking for a job, will Featherweight be able to put their checkered past behind him and teach the spoiled girl the value of hard work? For that matter, why does Diamond Tiara seem so uneasy around him, contrary to her behavior in school? One thing's for certain: Featherweight has his hands full!

Characters are humanized. Rating may change depending on reception and interest.

Woah. A story revolving around Diamond that doesn't make her out to be a huge jerk. I'm intrigued. :duck:
Anyways, I'd give you a like, but I use an iPad for this site and it won't let me. Sorry about that.

oooooo i am looking forward to this continuing

Interesting concept. Gonna keep an eye on this one.

This is right up my alley, I shall follow it.

You have my attention, have a like, I will be tracking this.

I loved how you ended the chapter almost the same way as you started it. That made me chuckle. Good job.

So, Diamond's about to experience the real life. A lot of her world view will be shattered... oh well. Drama inbound, but it will be amusing!

Also, awkward teenagers. The amusement will be doubled!

This story has a lot of potential. You can bet that I'll be following this story!

Very nice bookends on that chapter- I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out!

Nah, not so obvious. Kinda thought you did a lot of research though, but that table explanation, I still don't know why twist would get the extra table. Am I missing something?

...that's an error on my part, actually. :twilightblush:

I'll go fix it.

EDIT: I went and took a second look and they each have six tables, which was my intention. I even went and wrote it out numerically to make sure I hadn't screwed up. All good though, thanks for the heads-up anyway!

7658539 actually no I don't think so, Twist has three tables with patrons right? And sweetie four? Then what you had is correct, unless the tables are different sizes of course. Did you tell us the sizes of tables? I don't think so that's kinda a random fact to toss into a story

Oh, I see your confusion now. They're each responsible for certain tables, 6 each. Featherweight was showing Diamond who was responsible for which section of tables. Hope that cleared things up. I'll also bring up the different sizes later, as Diamond starts waiting tables. I thought including that now would be too much exposition, so I thought introducing them as the story went on would make for a better reading experience.

As someone who just got back into the service industry, there's something weirdly cathartic about reading fiction with the familiar setting like this. To put it simply- at first you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention. Looking forward to the next chapter!

Well, Diamond's not a hopeless case, that's for certain. At least she knows when to shut up and do what needs to be done. She could work a bit on the attitude though. Oh well, first day of her first job, and she came from a very spoiled and sheltered life. That's quite a lot of change for one person in a short while, so she has a pass. For now.

Also, Short's talk was nice. Let's see how long it takes for Diamond to open up a bit more. At least the reality of this not being her own choice is out there so she doesn't have to pretend.

Hey, mate, gitturdun, kurwa. :trollestia:

I see this hasn't been updated in a long while ^^'
Where is you go? Love to see how this ends?

Still here, just not feeling terribly inspired. I refuse to give you anything less than my best, which is why I'm waiting until I can return to form.

This is good! I wish it wasn't 6 years dead ;-;
