This story is a sequel to Essence of Flight

Two months after her failed attempt to fly left her physically and emotionally broken, Rainbow Dash has taken Scootaloo out for a brief, but intense, day of flying practice. Of course, being around someone as awesome as Rainbow Dash stirs Scootaloo's imagination, and Dash is all too happy to show off some of her basic stunt moves, despite the bad weather.

Could this be the day Scootaloo's dreams come one step closer to reality?

Pharynx loves his brother to bits. He protects him from bullies, and is probably the sole reason why Thorax is still alive.

But he knows he won’t be able to protect him forever, so it’s about time he learned a few way defend himself.

Story takes place during Protective Broodmate.

After the Hive reforms, Thorax finds himself the sudden leader of the changelings. And as it turns out, being the leader means comforting a small nymph who's all alone. But as Thorax looks after the little one, he finds himself caring about the young nymph more than he ever could have thought. Thorax soon found that he's created his own family. It may not be the one he dreamed about as a nymph, but he loves his family. Thorax would do anything for his little nymph, Apex. And as young Apex continues to touch the heart of the alpha changeling, it turns out that Thorax isn't the only one who cares about the little one.

Author's note: The character Apex in this story is in no way connected to the Apex from NavelColt's stories. This Apex is my own original character viewed as an alternate version of Apex with a completely different personality. I only took inspiration in the name, which was originally meant to be a placeholder. If you're interested, go check out NavelColt's The King of Love Bugs to see his Apex.

In the before times, young and newborn changelings were taken care of in nurseries by changelings whose jobs were to take care of them.

However, things have changed, and now other grown-up changelings can take care of their own young.

Ocellus, one young changeling who's spent all of her life in a nursery, will leave to be taken care of by two grown-up changelings, her actual parents. How will she cope with this change?

When Pharynx continuously has nightmares about his old outcast issues, he comes to face two options: to open up to his brother about his issues, or to continuously let himself crack under the constant pressure, thus letting himself continue to be tormented in his sleep by his inner emotions.

Written to both raise awareness for my group and portray fetishes in a way that don't have to be sexually explicit and thus appeal to asexual individuals like myself who are sex-repulsed.
