Since his release and redemption, Discord has gotten to know Fluttershy's friends very well but he's never done the same with her family. As they're important to her (and she's important to him), the Lord of Chaos takes it upon himself to make the introductions.

Unfortunately, he decides that the best place to start is with her brother, Zephyr Breeze.

Discord and the gang find themselves hiding in a broom closet in yet another dangerous mission. Discord finds himself crowded against the back wall with a terrified Fluttershy right next to him. He'd like to let her know that he'll keep her safe.

He'll have to be quiet about it, though.

Just a little blurb I whipped up last night in a random instance of inspiration, with the typical dangerous MLP-esque advienture that I don't want to make into an entire story. I'm pretty sure it's even longer than planned just so I could throw some dumb jokes in there. But if it makes you smile, then I've accomplished my mission.

I know my read on the story, but it's fascinating that it manages to be both a beautiful romance and a relationship horror story all at once. After King Sombra had returned and attacked the Crystal Empire, he captures Princess Cadance, Shining Armor, and Flurry Heart. Too weak to do anything themselves, Cadance and Shining had no choice but to wait for Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends to save them.

However, Sombra took a low blow by taking Flurry Heart and attacking the parental prides of Cadance and Shining. Princess Cadance took it especially hard.

King Sombra might want to start running...

Fluttershy and Discord have been through a lot, in their friendship and their romance. But finally, they're married, and things can settle down now...right?

It's been a hundred years since Twilight was crowned. Most of her original friends are gone. Now, only Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy remain, each with a spark of something special keeping them past their time.

But unlike Twilight, neither of them has a claim to true immortality.

Winner of the 15th Quills and Sofas Speedwriting contest. The prompt was "A Worthy End." The contest was a two-parter, and each chapter was written in an hour, and then expanded slightly afterwards.

Discord knew this was coming. He knew. So did Princess Twilight. They knew. They saw it coming a mile away. Yet, they let this happen anyway. Why couldn't they just let things stay the same? Who's the bigger fool here?

So this is a pretty simple story I pumped out because I was in a depression-fueled journey through immortality and its repercussions after seeing the finale of the show and realizing we've been right about it all since bucking SEASON 3! But whatever, it's fine, we're all fine. Just so you know I did NOT have any proof readers or editors so if you want to point stuff out that I got wrong, I'll happily fix it.
