//------------------------------// // Snuggly Wuggly // Story: Domestic Drabbles of Discord's Dimension // by GeekCat //------------------------------// Discord slammed open the door to Fluttershy's old cottage as the wind howled, threatening to rip the handle from his grip. He quickly ushered in Fluttershy, who was bundled up in a coat, scarf, boots, and hat, before rushing inside and slamming the door shut behind him, sliding a deadlock into place. "Phew!" he said, wiping sweat off of his brow. "I guess Cloudsdale lost control of one of their winds...I hope our snowdraconequui army can stay standing through this." "I'm sure they can," Fluttershy said, peeling the winter apparel off of her body and heading over to the fireplace. "We made them...and no draconequus would be knocked down by a just a gust of wind." She smiled at him and winked. He laughed and floated over to join her as she began kindling a fire. "True that," he said, leaning against the wall and watching her work. She seemed to be struggling a bit, as her hooves were shaking from the cold. "Want me to do it?" he asked, raising his fingers into a snapping position. "N-no, you should relax," she said, her teeth chattering a little. "You...you did a lot outside. You must be tired." He shrugged. "Well...alright. One thing first, though!" He reached out and grabbed her forehooves, rubbing at them with his hands and blowing on them a few times. He slowly felt them warm up a bit...though that could have just been her blush. Once her hooves felt less cold and didn't seem to be shaking as much, he released them and bowed. "Proceed," he said, floating over to and flopping on the couch. She continued kindling the small flame. With her hooves shaking less, she managed to turn the small ember into a moderate-sized fire, one that added a bit of heat to the room. Discord sighed as the heat hit him, using his magic to push the couch a bit closer to the fireplace. He patted the space next to him, and Fluttershy eagerly sat next to him, leaning against his side. With a snap of his fingers, a large knitted blanket draped over the two of them...made of all sorts of clashing colors, and a few clumsy stitches at one end. Fluttershy lifted the end that looked clumsy and smiled fondly at it. "I remember teaching you knitting..." she said. "That was fun." "It was," he said with a smile. "And I vastly—and quickly—improved! Though that's probably because I had the best teacher ever." He ruffled her mane, making her blush and giggle. He reached over and adjusted the blanket to be more tightly wrapped around Fluttershy. She shifted and leaned more of her weight against him, sighing as her eyes drifted closed. "Cozy?" he asked with a grin. "Very..." she murmured, snuggling into his thick fur. He smiled and ruffled her mane again, a bit more gently this time. She cooed and leaned a bit into his touch. He smiled warmly, drinking in the sight of her. Her nose was a bit red, and her cheeks were flushed. Her mane was messy, and there were clumps of snow stuck in it (and her fur), though they were slowly melting away. To him, she was the picture of beauty and perfection. He leaned forward and pressed his nose against her forehead. She smiled, but playfully pushed him away. "Your nose is cold!" she protested, though there was a hint of mirth in her eyes. "I could say the same about your head!" he countered, clutching his nose and glaring in mock offense. She giggled. "Us both being too cold to touch...this cannot stand!" He snapped his fingers and created two mugs of cocoa—both topped with whipped marshmallow cream, but one with chili powder mixed in and the other with a hint of mint flavoring. "Here," he said, placing the mint cocoa in her hooves. She accepted it and took a long, slow sip, smiling in appreciation. When she lowered her mug, there was a cream mustache on her upper lip. He snickered and took a sip of his own cocoa, enjoying the kick the spice gave it. "You have a little something...right here," he said, pointing to his own lip. She blinked, and then tried to look at where the cream was, becoming a bit cross-eyed in the process. His grin only widened. She stuck out her tongue and tried to lick away the offending cream, but her tongue wasn't nearly long enough to get the patches closest to her nose. "Oh, I'll help you," he said, playfully rolling his eyes a bit. He leaned forward and licked the cream off of her nose. His long tongue caught it all by the second lick, but he did it two more times, just to be...sure. And because she giggled each time, and he could feel her nose twitching at his touch... He smiled and pulled away, licking his lips. "Mmm. Nothing like a Fluttershy to go with cocoa," he said with a wink. She blushed a bright red, and he saw her feathers puff up a bit. He grinned smugly in victory and took another sip of his cocoa. Fluttershy took several more sips, keeping her eyes trained on him as her blush slowly died down. "...you have something here," she said quietly, pointing to her lip. He blinked and looked down at his nose, frowning in confusion. "No, I don't..." "Yes you do," she said, leaning a bit closer. "Let me...help you get it." Just as he realized her plan, she hoisted herself up and began softly licking his snout and cheek. He froze—at first in shock, and then in a desire to not spook her away. This probably wasn't normal, but...it was Fluttershy, showing a strange form of affection to try and get a rise out of him! And it was working, oh how it was working...especially when her little licks slowly morphed into little soft kisses, making his heart tumble in his chest. He swallowed, making a mental note to recover it later from wherever it had ended up tumbling to. After some time (but still too soon), she pulled away and again relaxed against his side. "I think I got it all," she said with a little bit of smugness. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit, using a handkerchief to wipe the hints of a blush off of his face. "I'd say you did," he said. "Would the fair mare like a reward for doing so?" Her ears twitched as she sipped her cocoa. "...what's the reward?" "Standard hero's reward," he said. "I'll give you a little taste of it..." He bent his neck and pecked her on the lips, applying just the slightest hint of pressure before pulling away again. "Accept in the next ten seconds and get a free platter of peanut butter crackers!" he said cheerfully. The platter appeared, hovering in the air next to them. "This offer lasts for a limited time, so—" Before he could continue his spiel, she pressed her own lips against his, with just as light of a pressure as he had used. She slowly pulled away and smiled up at him...her eyes sparkling, her frost-coated lashes making them seem bigger and brighter than usual... "You had me at the kiss," she said softly, tracing a hoof along his neck. His ears wriggled, and his tail gave a tiny wag. He sighed and leaned into her touch. She continued her soft touches, slowly placing her half-drank cocoa on the coffee table. "...are you warm enough?" she asked quietly. "Or do you want to relax a little more first?" He blinked, looking between her and his cocoa. With one swift motion, he lifted the mug to his lips and drank it all in one gulp, then sighed and tossed the empty mug aside. "We can have more cocoa later," he said. "But for now...I have my eye on a tastier treat." Fluttershy blushed, and he grinned and began to pepper her face with soft kisses. In the back of his mind, he remembered to shift the blanket to cover the both of them and keep them both warm. Somehow, they ended up in a position where she was lying on top of him, snuggling into his fur and occasionally placing soft kisses there, as he kissed her face and ears, the blanket still covering both of them. He sighed and let himself relax against the couch for a few seconds, enjoying the feeling of Fluttershy just...being there, pressed against him, sharing affection. He heard her sigh softly, and felt her curl up against his chest. He glanced up and saw that she had her eyes closed, and looked very content to use him as a pillow. He smiled and rubbed behind her ear, which got a smile out of her. "I love you, my soft snuggly pegasus," he cooed. "I love you too," she said, opening her eyes slightly to peer at and grin at him. "...my cuddly draconequus." "Shh," he said, pressing a finger to her lips. "That's a secret to everyone but us." She giggled and nodded slightly, shifting until she was completely comfortable. He adjusted the blanket so that it wouldn't fall off of them, and fully relaxed against the couch...keeping both of his arms wrapped around her frame.
