Twilight Sparkle is and always will be a delightful and intelligent fraulein. However, when a cult of unicorns who fervently support the Return of King sombra took interest to her, things quickly got out-of hoof.
Day by day, Twilight gained strength, studied the Darkest magics known, and even fell in love with the unicorn mentoring her in these ancient and terrifying arts. She became isolated from her friends, and began to prepare to betray the country she once loved, in the name of glory and the pursuit of power.
This is no fairy tale. There will be war, there will be battle, there will be death, and there will be blood. There will also be romance, ballroom dancing, kisses under the moonlight, and most delightful of conversations too.

Twilight Sparkle has always bargained for things. Whether it be books, or pleas for help. But this time, there really is such such thing as "getting more then you bargained for." When Twilight had attempted to dig into King Sombra's past, somehow, he had just enough of his soul left to enter Twilight's mind. Now feelings Twilight shows toward her friends are cold and distant, and she wants to take over the world. Because she knows the existence of Sombra, she thinks he is making her feel these things.

It’s the Christmas season, and all are at home with their families...except one. Labeling her as a scapegoat during the Anon-a-miss incident, a number of students have abducted Sunset, intending to make her pay for all the secrets she spilled....Again.
There's just one problem....She didn't.

You guys know Dainn's "Anon-A-miss" Story. But if you don't, leave now, and go read his story. This story is a direct branchoff from his, continuing immediately after chapter 5 of his story. You NEED to read his story up until chapter 5, to understand what's going on in this one.

Thanks to a few posts by a cyberbully on MyStable named Anon-a-Miss, her whole school accuses her of the crimes that she didn’t even commit. Even her best friends believes she’s responsible and instantly abandon her; Sunset Shimmer finds herself alone and heartbroken, believing that there is no one who believes her… who cares for her.

One night, she takes a lonely walk into the streets of town, along the way she passes the Canterlot City Orphanage where she meets a little girl named Snowdrop who, like Sunset, had a rough and unbearable life.

Soon the two form a special bond that will both change their lives, but word of them gets out in CHS, even to Anon-a-Miss. Can Sunset’s and Snowdrop’s newly formed friendship be strong enough against the ones who wish to end it or will both of them go back to where they began... alone.

When Rainbow Dash starts feeling lonely, a certain purple mare rushes to her house in the middle of the night, as a major emergency has happened and Rainbow is needed. An orange-coated filly, wounded, and both mentally and physically abused, turns up at Twilights doorstep, getting Spike, Rainbow, and herself caught up in madness. The past few weeks have not been kind to Rarity. Ashamed at how much of a fool she made of herself over Trenderhoof, she slips into a depression. She begins to abuse medication, combining it with alcohol; creating a vile elixir that may just rob her of what she holds most dear.

Rarity is remorseful. She feels as if she is all alone and unloved, but is she really?

Scootaloo has a great life. Her mother and father love her, and she adores them in return. She does well in school, even if some of the kids are jerks. Sure, she doesn't really have any friends, but she doesn't mind too much. She has almost everything she could wish for. And with her eighth birthday coming soon, who knows, maybe things will only get better from here. After all, everypony knows if you make a wish on your birthday then it comes true, right?
