To love somepony is easy. To let them into your heart, somepony you care for, somepony you want to protect, somepony you would do anything for. Letting them in is easy. The pain comes when you lose them. This is something Applejack is not unaware of. However, after suffering yet another crippling loss of life to one of her own, the well-known farm pony begins to lose herself, falling into a pit of despair, trapping herself in a cycle of self-blame, anger, and agony. Watching her friend do this to herself is unbearable for Rarity, who makes her way to the farm determined to try and help the friend who doesn’t want it. But she has to try. Because, isn’t that what friends are for?

What lengths would you go to for family? Would you care for them? Be honest with them? Keep a secret for them? Sometimes, family relationships can become strained or volatile. But once you feel love towards your kin, it never truly dies. A certain dress-maker from Ponyville can attest to that fact, in more than one situation. But when a secret she and her sister tried to hide begins to fall apart, a secret that hides a past so painful it brings tears to her eyes just to think of, will she be able to tell the ponies she loves the truth?

Over a thousand years she has been alive. That means that Celestia has had hundreds of mares and stallions as her mate. Each one leaving a sizable hole in her heart once it was time for life to take its final course. And after a thousand heartbreaks, she finally finds what she considers the one. But will she be able to take the eventual heartbreak?

As a final option, Celestia does the only thing she can to make sure her and Twilight's life together is not spoiled by time.

On a dark day, one may wonder: just what horrors lie beyond the veil of the heavens? What ghastly demons exist that could only spawn in a pony's dreams? What terror!? What blight in the face of all that is good!? What- wait, it's the Mane Six?

What sort of twisted reality contains a lycan Applejack, a vampiric Fluttershy, a ghostly Rarity, and a lich queen Twilight Sparkle, you may ask? Why, it's just the Nightmare Realm, existing one and a half dimensions below and above the normal Equestria, and they are sick and tired of Nightmare Night not living up to its name in the 'real' world.

However, are these nightmares truly nightmares, or do they just like a good scare? Why, it depends on who you're talking to! So sit tight, give way to fright, for coming soon is Nightmare Night!

For ponies, Hearth's Warming Eve is a joyous time. Caribou though... their legends are darker. They know what threats await in the long, dark nights of winter, and what evils can lurk in the hearts of those who dwell there. Join the Cutie Mark Crusaders, as they hear one such tale told by the High Chieftain of the Caribou, on the longest night of Winter's Eve.

This story takes place in the years between the first Three Wishes story, and the start of its sequel. Reading those first is not necessary. This story is a stand-alone tale for the holidays, though there are several tie-ins with the larger stories.

Also note, this tale was written in about 5 hours, from 2am to 7am Christmas morning. It was a crazy, last minute idea for a holiday story, and has not had the benefit of the usual editors and prereaders. As such, blame me (and my lack of sleep) directly for all mistakes and stupidity.

My name’s Marcus. Marcus Cortez. I’m currently a freshman at CUFTA. You don’t know what that means? Well, it stands for “Canterlot University for the Arts.” While it is a little unsettling to go to college in a completely different world from my own, and while being a human in a school full of mostly ponies is a little intimidating, I’m doing fine so far. I don’t have to worry about roommates, since I don’t live in a dorm. I live with my aunt.

Her name is Celestia. Princess Celestia.

You’re probably wondering how a human could be the nephew of a pony, and an alicorn princess, no less. Well, it’s quite the story.

In case you haven't guessed yet this is an anthro story, and my first time writing a story in first person, so we'll see how this goes.

The prologue for this story starts sixteen years prior to the return of Nightmare Moon and the story's main events take place after Season 3 ends.

Ten years later they're now young adults and a few of them are getting ready for the surprises that come with that transition.
