I don’t remember reading a good Rarity changeling fic before.

This is very interesting. I’m just thinking of the implications of what having a Bearer being a changeling would do and I thought of the Mean 6. I wonder if that changes anything.
Rarity is right in one respect (unless changeling brains are really wired that differently in this story): just because it turns out that she’s a changeling she doesn’t have to acknowledge Chrysalis as her queen. She’ll have to make changes in her life to cope and be at least initially careful about just who she shares her secret with (Sweetie Belle is going to be an obvious headache there), but that’s no compelling reason to outright switch sides.
Of course, that’s something that her friends could easily screw up for her once they find out. All it’d take would be one bit too much paranoia regarding the “ugly bug” who “replaced” their friend and then things could snowball into all of Ponyville grabbing pitchforks and torches before you’d even know it.
Was there ever a rarity before all this? By that I mean did this Rarity replace someone.

Well Rarity. They did just invade an entire city, attacked ponies to steal love and tried to conquer Equestria.
But the changeling army was just following orders from Queen Chrysalis who is the real villian.

Physically should be possible for rarity to returned back to her lifestyle.
She was really a changling from beginning. She lived among ponies for decades and passively feed of them without anyone noticeably weaker, and her brain fools her to thinks good is great.
She just needed to rewire her brain back.

Though of specifically the Mane Six, I think her initial best bet would probably be Fluttershy. She strikes me as the pony least likely to overreact once she’s gotten over the shock of the reveal itself.
It's not easy to break such a spell. So much easier to break the mind...
But that does beg the question of how she's survived for two decades. Being stunted doesn't negate nutritional needs

Rarity must be getting close to critical if her magic is failing. How she managed to survive this long without attempting to discover herself is truly moronic, regardless of the percieved danger. Ignoring problems doesn't make them go away!

Her changeling instinct was sealed, so she didn't need to eat love for most of her life, it's only after being hit by that love wave by cadance and shinning armor, did her changeling instinct wake up, and now she needs love.

Instincts have nothing to do with biological requirement. That's like saying your human instincts were sealed and you were placed among robots, and now that you got covered in yogurt you suddenly need to eat food to live.
What we think you mean is, her conscious sensing of food was disabled and put on passive automatic, such that she didn't realize she was soaking in energy by being around those who love her, and now that she can feel it fears receiving it actively. She's always needed love, it just hasn't been a thing she was able to notice.
The other explanation would be insane, as otherwise why wouldn't all changelings be blocked in such a manner so that they magically don't need to feed? It would solve all the problems and their stated impetus for the invasion if they could simply "turn off" the need for love.

Yeah I thought Rarity would put up more of a fight but can’t win them all.
I have to wonder... Couldn't she use any changeling for this? They just immediately assumed it was the real Rarity, so... why use the real fake Rarity, if a fake fake Rarity would have also worked?
A bit disappointing we didn't get to see the nature and attuning of Chrysalis's mind break. For all intents and purposes it looks like she could have used just any drone for how pathetically easy it was to get in and trap the stupid lovebirds. Very rushed and very strange, especially to switch to third person like that. It implies Rarity is truly erased, which surely isn't the case, otherwise why spend all the effort?

This. Not only is she apparently healthy despite inexplicably disappearing for extended amount of time, but despite them literally talking about how easily they were trounced by changelings, no suspicion at all to the strange circumstances even flitted across their minds.

Especially since she was suddenly sympathetic toward them on the train home. Sure, she knows she was holding back against them, but they don't. If they find out she's a Changeling I can very easily see the accusations of her being planted to try to garner Changeling sympathy from the mane six, possibly even to the point of thinking she was to drive a wedge between the Elements and the rest of Equestria.
