Trixie and Gabby sat across from each other in The Hay Burger.

Hey, check it out! Gallus turned into Gabby for a split second there! Maybe that happens whenever he's hungry and getting frustrated waiting for his food to come while at restaurants...? Whatever the case, cool trick there, Gallus!

All joking aside, this is an okay fic. My only major criticism is that it just rushes right through the whole premise--would've been nice to see the whole concept fleshed out in more detail, maybe even as a multi-chapter fic...but as the brief thousand word one-shot it is, it does all right still, I suppose.

I also feel I should point out that adoptions, as a rule, generally don't go as simply as shown here, and I feel like Trixie should've presented the idea to Gallus before she filled out the paperwork (what if he said no?), but, you know, that's just that darn reality raining on everybody's parade talking here, really.

It's so nice to see a story where Trixie gets a chance to shine as a good pony. I'm glad they made her a regular character in the final seasons and set her on the right path.
