This is Spike as he should be. Real, strong-willed, and in control. I approve of this version of Spike wholeheartedly. And I hope more people write Spike as being this noble-hearted dragon while at the same time holding on to that thought of weakness to keep himself in check. Bravo!

This was actually my preferred clopfic. No actual sex (Other than Pinkie and Applejack), a well-done plot, and a cute ending without going into detail about it. Well done, I think this is the first clopfic going into my favorites.

Wow....................that's...really all I can say for once...
Loved this fic, an entertaining yet heart-wrenching ride top to bottom. Was kind of sad to see Spike be so deeply down on himself the whole time, but I'm glad he was able to find something authentic in the end. Not even mad we didn't get to see the action, just relieved he didn't get totally burned after all his hard work and legendary restraint.
Only thing that left me a bit sour was Rarity being alone in the end. Everyone else was already paired up (AJ/Ponk) or took an apparently-successful shot at their object of affection (Twi/Dash, Spike/Shy), but Rarity was the odd woman out, still single and unhappy about it, and then she just sorta.....leaves. I dunno, broke the theme a bit, you know?
But hey, loved it otherwise. Thanks for the ride, dude.

Good on Spike. I couldn't say in that same situation that I could have shown half the restraint he did and would have to made multiple walks of shame.
You make Spike such a relatable character. He really embodies just how HARD it is to do the right thing sometimes, ESPECIALLY when it comes to restraint.
It doesn’t sugarcoat things. He knows what he wants, but he knows that he can’t have it. On the one, it’s a very admirable quality. On the other, it is a bit of a symptom of overall esteem problems.
This version of Spike is drenched in self-loathing. I love it so much, he feels so relatable and honest!
And I love the theme of how hard it is to have what you want VS what is the right thing to do.

This was alot deeper of a story than I expected, but the FS on the cover led the story in a way I had hoped it would. I enjoyed this so much, an erotica that dives so deeply into Spike as a person and his view of himself, all while he remains (reasonably) chaste. I enjoyed this so much more than I expected I would.
I really enjoyed this story a lot it was naughty but so sweet I couldn't stop reading it great job.
It is really painful to listen to Spike dis himself like that especially after the story about Rarity with Fluttershy. I mean come on, he tells this interesting story that has drastically affected him in an obvious way and says "Well I just am not interesting at all" like he had just told a story about finding a sock in the wrong drawer.
